Your NEW Ultimate Guide to Outdoor Dining in Hoboken + Jersey City

Written by:

Now that the weather is warming up and restrictions post lockdown are being lifted, many are thrilled for the opening of outdoor restaurants to help bring back feelings of normalcy to our communities. With NJ Governor Phil Murphy’s new executive order allowing restaurants to reopen for outdoor dining on June 15th in New Jersey and the stay-at-home order lifted, some are ready to get back to dining out.

But restaurants are required to abide by quite a few very necessary precautions in order to protect the safety of both guests and employees such as sanitizing all commonly used items including chairs, tables, pens, etc., limiting seating to a maximum of eight guests per table, arranging tables six feet apart, among others {a full list of Governor Murphy’s executive order can be found here}.

Local restaurants are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of all parties as the state enters this new stage of reopening. For locals here in Hoboken + JC, we have rounded up a growing list of restaurants with the capacity to comfortably and safely welcome guests for outdoor dining. Read on to learn more about which restaurants are open for outdoor dining in Hoboken and Jersey City — and some photos of what to expect from these al fresco spots throughout the area.
