Ahh, Dino + Harry’s — one of the best in the area. Located at 163 14th Street, the restaurant is a true cornerstone in the Hoboken community. Founded in 1991, Dino & Harry’s has become a staple in town contributing to the small-owned fabric that has shaped the city’s culture. If you haven’t been to this unassuming-yet-refined steakhouse in uptown Hoboken, here are just a few reasons why we love it. This list is unsolicited, we realize, so know that it’s just an appreciation post. 1. The steakhouse has been named one of the top restaurants in the state year over year for a reason – the steak selection is top-notch from high-quality port house cuts to NY-stripes and filet mignon.

2. The iconic multi-Academy Award-winning film On the Waterfront starring Marlon Brando — as well as other films and commercials — has filmed scenes here.
3. Fresh seafood dishes are something to look forward to when dining here – the grilled octopus, oysters, scall0ps, and crab are some of the popular menu items.

4. The longshoreman saloon vibes are unmatched. A 150-year-old + clock, stained glass windows, tile floor, cherry bar, and grand piano all encompass the old-school charm of the place.

5. The wine menu is something to make a serious note of. It boasts old-world and new-world classics from Bordeaux to Sauvignon Blanc. Don’t sleep on the cocktails, though!
6. Much of the staff, including the piano player, have worked there for decades, making the dining experience feel at home to regulars of the restaurant.
7. Everything on the menu is a la carte, so diners can choose exactly what mains and sides they want. With 14 sides to choose from, it can be overwhelming in the best way possible. 8. Locals can rent this epic venue for private parties from birthdays to holiday parties and everything in between. In fact, people have been doing so for years – it’s a go-to for large groups.
9. Outdoor seating is coveted in our Mile Square, and Dino’s now has outdoor tables lined alongside the restaurant to enjoy the outdoors.
10. The starters are just as popular as the steaks – yes, we’re referencing the trio of empanadas that come in three flavors including filet mignon, braised chicken, and spinach and feta.

11. TVs! Yes, the Dino’s aesthetic is upscale saloon vibes, but this gem has several TVs hanging above the bar for those who want to stop in for a beer and a game in a more upscale ambiance.
12. It doesn’t get much better than live music entertainment. The steakhouse has a piano player (the same artist for almost 20 years) serenade patrons classics like Sinatra hits and even opens the space for local musicians throughout the month.
