City Fitness | 38 Jackson Street + 1000 Maxwell Street

Cuban Pete’s | 518 Washington Street

Cuban Pete’s, a BYOB Cuban restaurant from Montclair, New Jersey, is moving into the former Charrito’s space at 518 Washington Street. Work is still being done in the space. More about this spot here.

Greens, Goods, + Grill | 603 Washington Street

Greens, Goods, + Grill, also known as G3, is coming to the former Giovanni’s space at 603 Washington Street. The concept will be a convenience store with a fresh kitchen, designed for health-conscious locals with busy lifestyles. Read more about it here.

Joe + The Juice | 216 Washington Street

Joe + The Juice may be making its New Jersey debut in Hoboken. The global juice and coffee chain is looking to take over the former Cheap Maggie’s space at 216 Washington Street, which would mark its first Garden State location. More about this spot here.

Kiehl’s | 133 Washington Street

KiKi Lu Gelato | 1500 Hudson Street

With Love, Valentina | 700 1st Street

New Businesses in Jersey City

Chelsea Piers | 130 Bay Street

Chelsea Piers is expanding to the Jersey side with a planned location at 130 Bay Street in Jersey City. The popular New York City sports facility will be located in the Arts + Powerhouse Building in Downtown Jersey City and is expected to span 60,000 square feet with a rooftop pool, among other amenities. Cornerstone Pilates | 344 Communipaw Avenue

Cornerstone Pilates, a reformer Pilates studio in Bergen-Lafayette, has opened at 344 Communipaw Avenue. Founded by Kyra, the space focuses on mindful strength, intentional movement, and community-driven wellness. Read more about this new spot here

Dagda Irish Pub | 123 Newark Avenue

Dagda Irish Pub has opened at 123 Newark Avenue in Downtown Jersey City. The new Irish bar took over the former Café Coretto space and brings a fresh neighborhood pub vibe to the area. Read more about Dagda here

Equinox | 20 Columbus Drive

Plans for Equinox in Jersey City remain unclear. The gym was previously reported to be opening at the Harborside 4 complex at 20 Columbus Drive, but an opening date has not been announced. See more about it here.

Gnocchi on 9th | 512 Jersey Avenue

Gnocchi on 9th is coming to 512 Jersey Avenue in Jersey City. The new spot will focus on classic Italian comfort food, with a menu centered around freshly made gnocchi and pasta dishes, bringing another cozy dining option to the neighborhood.  Read more about it here

Sugar Theory has opened in Jersey City, bringing a sweet new stop to the Communipaw Avenue scene. The spot serves a lineup of sweet treats, making it an easy go-to for an after-dinner dessert, weekend pick-me-up, or anytime sugar craving.

Spark Place | 411 Palisade Avenue

The Life of Reilly is a new speakeasy-style bar now open in Jersey City at 8 Erie Street.
