Another luxury skincare brand has officially opened its doors in Hoboken. Kiehl’s is now open at 133 Washington Street. The Hoboken location is the brand’s second standalone store in New Jersey, joining more than 50 freestanding locations nationwide. Its products are also sold in several hundred retailers across the country, including department stores and other skincare shops. In February 2026, signage first went up at the Washington Street storefront, and the team confirmed with us that it was aiming for a March opening. That plan has now come to fruition, and the shop is officially open to the public. Read on for more about Kiehl’s new Hoboken location.
About the Space
The location at 133 Washington Street was formerly the site of a T-Mobile store. The T-Mobile store closed in September 2025. Per Jersey Digs, Kiehl’s began petitioning Hoboken’s Historic Preservation Committee during its August 2025 meeting.

Kiehl’s is a born-and-bred NYC brand, with its original location at 13th Street and 3rd Avenue dating back to 1851. Now the brand’s flagship location is at the same intersection, at 109 3rd Avenue. The brand was founded by pharmacist John Kiehl and later, his apprentice, Irving Morse, took over. Mr. Morse’s granddaughter, Jami Morse Heidegger, was at the helm when the company was sold to L’Oreal in 2000.
Kiehl’s sells skin and hair care for men and women. It is best known for being one of the first personal care companies to put ingredients on the labels of the products starting in 1924, before it was required by law. Several Kiehl’s products are in the Smithsonian Museum Division of Medicine and Science, as examples of innovation in chemistry. Kiehl’s also supported the museum’s Cosmetics and Personal Care Collections Digitization Project, which showcases how Americans perceive health and well-being.
The Hoboken location will be the brand’s second free-standing store in New Jersey, with the other being at the Garden State Plaza mall in Paramus. Aesop, another luxury skin care retailer, opened a Hoboken location this year at 409 Washington Street.
As of February 2026, signage has gone up at the Washington Street location. The Kiehl’s team also confirmed with HG that they’re aiming to open in mid-March, with more details to come soon.
A pressing question from the HG team: Will Kevin O’Connor be at the grand opening? For those with a healthy amount of screen time, he’s a TikTok-famous oil field worker who’s gone viral for his nighttime routine (which, of course, features Kiehl’s).
