Before there were CVS Pharmacies and Walgreens on every corner, most places had a local apothecary for prescriptions and other healthcare needs. While they aren’t as prominent in 2026, one wellness company is looking to serve the Hoboken community with its specialty pharmacy services. Hoboken Apothecary is moving into 210 Washington Street and will provide skincare solutions, free prescription delivery, and friendly faces to answer questions about wellness and prescription medication. Naturally, there’s a New Jersey connection – the owners are a local Hoboken family. Here’s what we know about Hoboken Apothecary and when it’s slated to open on Washington Street.

About The Owners
Apothecary Group is a company that operates specialty pharmacy locations across the country. Its mission focuses on improving treatment outcomes and helping patients navigate a complex healthcare system.
An apothecary is an old term for a medical professional who prepared and sold herbal medicines and drugs. They were historically trusted with mixing remedies and sometimes providing medical advice. It’s how we arrived at the modern pharmacist.

There are nine locations across the country, with a strong presence in New York City and on Long Island, and even a Beverly Hills apothecary in California.

Each apothecary provides customers with concierge care. When someone steps into their pharmacies, they are welcomed into an environment where medicine meets simplicity, pharmacists know their name, and all questions are answered. The goal of each pharmacist is to understand a patient’s healthcare needs and goals to better support them by filling prescriptions and curating skincare regimens.
The website says the apothecaries provide “world-class pharmaceutical care that promotes whole-person care.”
The Hoboken Location
The Hoboken Apothecary will be the company’s first New Jersey location, residing at 210 Washington Street. The pharmacy, owned by a local family, will provide white-glove service, with a focus on helping patients access premium and specialty therapies, dermatology care, as well as free and next-day delivery to fit patients’ busy schedules.
The company says they are able to fill all prescription types, but their expertise lies in supporting patients who often fall through the cracks in traditional retail pharmacy settings, specifically with branded medications.

The owner shared with The Hoboken Girl his family has called Hoboken home for the past few years.
“We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve this community by bringing decades of pharmacy and healthcare experience to Hoboken,” the owner tells HG. They plan to open in 2026.
