The Station Hoboken

Things had been quiet on the expansion front until earlier this week, on April 21st, when KikiLu took to Instagram to announce that the address of a second location would be revealed soon. The day has come, and so has the new location: 1500 Hudson Street in uptown Hoboken.

In addition to offering more delicious gelato, this new spot brings an exciting twist: KikiLu will share the space with Choc O Pain, a beloved French bakery and cafe with locations in both Hoboken and Jersey City.

On Tuesday, July 14th, the KikiLu team shared on Instagram that the new spot will open its doors on Thursday, July 16th. KikiLu will celebrate its grand opening from 6PM – 10PM, and the first 50 customers who spend $10 will get their choice of  “a free KikiLu tote bag OR a small cannoli.” See the post below.

About KikiLu Gelato

KikiLu Gelato opened in 2022 after first being announced in 2020. It is Italian restaurant Otto Strada’s sister spot and was inspired by its owners’ daughter. “I named it after my daughters’ nicknames – Kiki for Chiara (Ch is pronounced K in Italian) and Lu for Luna,” Joe Cascetta previously told The Hoboken Girl.

The shop has a wide array of gelato flavors. Think classic Stracciatella, double-roasted Sicilian pistachio, elderberry, and Sicilian dark chocolate, among many others. There’s also a cannoli bar complete with allergy-friendly options, an olive oil refill station, and an espresso bar. On the coffee side, options include lattes, cappuccinos, espressos, Affogatos, and more.

We also recommend trying the espresso con panna, which is a shot of espresso with Italian whipped cream. Read more about KikiLu in our previous coverage here.
