I’m a travel content creator passionate about inspiring people to go outside and explore New Jersey. Growing up, I always heard “NJ is so boring, there’s nothing to do here” so I like to highlight places that are unique to the state like the largest Hindu temple in the United States that’s in NJ! Being Latina and being a daughter of immigrants has definitely shaped the way I approach my videos because I try to keep in mind travel is a luxury not a need for a lot of people, so I try to showcase places that are free as often as I can and include prices in my captions. I want to show travel doesn’t always mean traveling abroad and spending a ton of money sometimes it just means exploring a new town or seeing a new waterfall or even discovering a new sunset spot. My goal is to highlight more Hispanic restaurants and businesses as well as make some videos in Spanish in the near future. Right now, I’m looking for the best Ecuadorian restaurants in New Jersey so others can enjoy the food I grew up on.

Tell us about yourself.

I am a finance professional-turned-lifestyle expert, self-taught cook, and interior designer who has built a career out of the business of home. While climbing the corporate ranks and becoming CFO at age 35, I founded Endlessly Elated, a lifestyle brand spanning food, entertaining, and design. Since its inception, my ethos has remained the same: to elevate every day into moments worth celebrating, whether by whipping up a three-course meal for no reason or creating an intentionally designed space that makes you feel at home. In 2019, I left my illustrious career behind to focus full-time on Endlessly Elated, adding a line of intentionally made home goods and interior design services to my already successful food and entertaining blog. Dubbed the “Latina Martha Stewart,” I have been featured on and off camera in prominent publications such as The Rachael Ray Show, Huff Post Live, House Beautiful, Pop Sugar, People Español, Rue Magazine, and Hola. I am also set to appear at an upcoming TEDx talk and have built brand partnerships with several Fortune 500 companies. I continue to use my platform enthusiastically sharing my passions for food and design with my growing community of like-minded home aficionados. When not working, I can be found with a glass of champagne in hand at home with my husband.

What is your Latinx nationality?

Puerto Rican.

What kind of creator are you? What do you share on your social media?

I am a lifestyle creator mainly sharing content within the home space — from interior design to recipes to entertaining tips and advice. Amid this content, I also share moments of daily life.

What are your favorite local spots?

For some of my favorite coffee and pastries, I stop in at Dulce De Leche Bakery in Englewood or Erie Coffeeshop + Bakery in Rutherford. Delicious! My favorite lunch spots include Rumba Cubana (any of their locations are a hit. Always consistent with their food and service.) La Isla in Hoboken is also a staple, but when I want a quick bite with a little indulging, then I go for some steak sandwiches at Dos Amigos in West New York. It’s all they sell and they never get it wrong. A must-try. And, of course, for a delicious dinner meal paired with cocktails places like Elia Mediterranean Restaurant in East Rutherford, or Blu on The Hudson in Weehawken. Or if I’m opting for a more casual feel, then I love Brick + Dough in Montclair.

Tell us about yourself.

My name is Megan Ixim and I am currently an influencer and activist on the account @msgigggles, and the owner of Socially Deviant Media, a one-stop social media shop focusing on helping you find your inner roar on the internet. After pursuing an education in marketing/brand development, I decided to put my degree to use by developing a platform that benefits from creativity, honesty, and social awareness. I believe in the power of social media to bring people together and use my passion to create organic brand development both personally and professionally. I am currently working on two passion projects focusing on inclusion, diversity, and professional support here in Jersey City — @ladieswinedesign_jc and @jclgbtqalliance. I continue to use my personal platform as a sounding board to cover topics most important to these core values. My work focuses on combining passion with accountability, with stellar visuals as a bonus.

Guatemalan/Maya.

What kind of creator are you? What do you share on your social media?

I focus on creating a better, more equitable world while also trying to find humor in difficult topics. As a fat, queer, Latina woman, my content and my page is inherently focused on those particular existences, but I also love giving my support to local businesses and charity organizations within Hudson County. I create from lived experience, and I try to tailor my content around the idea that you can have a wonderful life, by living your life honestly and exactly as you are now.

What are your favorite local spots?

Grind, Raine and River, Pet Shop, Betty’s Ceramics, WORD Bookstore, Treeshop, Whealth Kitchen, ANDCO, and Love Locked.

I have been a hairstylist for 22 years, 19 of them in Hoboken. This past March, I was finally able to realize a lifelong dream and open my own studio in the Cast Iron Lofts in Jersey City: Hair With Reason. My soul dog is a wise little chihuahua named Reason who has taught me more about living a beautiful life than I can ever repay her for. I love to discover new and unique ways to create absolutely natural looking color and dimension, and I’m always observing Mother Nature for inspiration and guidance. I tend towards the spiritual and I love a space filled with plants and crystals (and dogs, of course!) I’m so grateful for this opportunity to be able to create amazing hair for my incredible clients, in a space where they can completely relax and be themselves. They inspire me every single day.
