Workspace Redefined

Andco opened its doors in October of 2016 with the mission to cultivate social and cultural enterprises in the center of downtown Jersey City, right next to City Hall. Since launching, the workspace has been able to provide an ideal work environment for over 300 local businesses. It recently reopened with new safety precautions and guidelines in an effort to maintain everyone’s health, so that work is the sole focus while you’re in the space — with a goal to provide a solution to help individuals regain a sense of work + life balance in this new climate. The furnished outdoor terrace is also open and is the ideal spot for hosting socially-distant meetings with clients or employees. 

 

“Andco stands out because of our consistent programming that caters to the needs of entrepreneurs and business owners across the board,” community manager Ebony Vizcarrondo told us. 

Members at Andco can recharge and refresh with the bar and cafe space that has artisanal MODCUP coffee, tea from Serendipitea, filtered fruit-infused water, and NJ Beer Co. on tap. There are several days each week that you can enjoy added bonuses — Wellness & Awareness Wednesday is a time when resources are shared to help uplift the mind and body, Thursday morning breakfast socials are catered by Frankie Restaurant {the food is now pre-packaged for added safety}, and Happy Hour Fridays are a hybrid space that members can access via Zoom or join in-person to enjoy pre-packed snacks and cocktails on the vibrant outdoor terrace. CaveDay {now virtual} is also available as a resource for members to learn how to perform their best work by facilitating deep work sessions in “the cave” where distractions are removed and time work sprints are implemented. 

Working from Andco also means you get to enjoy curated playlists that keep the energy high without distracting from the task-at-hand and the environment is permeated with calming essential oils. 

When members need a few minutes of mental downtime, they can head to the furnished terrace for fresh air and sunlight or check out a book from the library and spend time in the wellness room. Andco has partnered with WORD {the local bookstore on Grove St and Newark Ave} to provide literature for the space, so there’s always something new to check out.

There are three different packages catering to all business needs, from the freelancer to those requiring a dedicated desk or private office. All memberships come with access to the basic amenities needed to run your business, including mail service and conference room use as well as the lounge, cafe, library, terrace, wellness rooms, and events. 

There are a few different limited-time summer special promos that are worth taking advantage of if you’re itching to get out of your home office or change up your 9-5 routine.

  • – Open Membership: Open membership was originally $250/month but is now $200/month until September 1, 2020. This package provides daily access to the space during operating hours, which are Monday-Friday 8:00AM-7:00PM. You can also use the conference room for up to four hours a month.
  • – 10-Pack: The 10-pack was originally $175 but is now $125 until September 1, 2020. The 10 pack allows for daily access to the space during operating hours and use of the conference room up to four hours a month, perfect for the worker who doesn’t need a daily space but would benefit from an office a few times a month.
  • – Reserved Desk Membership: This was originally $450/month and is now $400/month with the summer promo that ends on September 1, 2020. You get  24/7 access to a dedicated desk, storage, mail service, and up to six hours of conference room time each month.
  • – Private Offices: A private office starts at $800/month but can vary depending on the size and location needed. Get a free first month when you sign a six-month lease, through September 1, 2020. A private office comes with 24/7 access to an individual office space, storage, mail service, and up to eight hours of conference room time per month.
