In light of this, we’ve rounded up the farmers’ markets around Hoboken + Jersey City. More specifically, where to get fresh everything. Check out our comprehensive guide to farmers’ markets in Hoboken and Jersey City and some of the vendors you’ll see at each.

The market usually takes place from June to November. Patrons can head to Garden Street at Church Square Park between Fourth Street and Fifth Street. Past vendors have included Pickle Licious, Gourmet Dried Fruits and Nuts, Hoboken Farms, and the Kimchi Kitchen.

The Southwest Park Farmers’ Market

The Southwest Park Farmers’ Market made its return in 2023. “Access to fresh, locally sourced produce is not only a fundamental right but also an essential component of a healthy lifestyle.” Mayor Bhalla previously said in a press release in 2023. However, it’s not yet known if it will make its return in 2024. 

Where: North side of Observer Highway between Jackson Street + Harrison Street

Uptown Farmers’ Market

The City of Hoboken, in partnership with Bijou Properties and the Hoboken Quality of Life Coalition, hosts the Uptown Farmers Market every Saturday from 9AM to 2PM under the 14th Street Viaduct between Grand and Adams Streets.

Where: Under the 14th Street viaduct between Grand Street + Adams Street

When: May to mid-December on Saturdays from 9AM-2PM

Jersey City

Coles Street Market 

This new farmer and artisan market is set to debut at Coles Street Park in Jersey City this April, and is curated by SocietyX.

Where: Coles Street Park at Coles Street between 16th and 18th Streets

When: April 16th – December 10th | Tuesdays from 3PM-7PM

Historic Downtown Jersey City Farmers’ Market

With over 25 vendors, the Historic Downtown Jersey City Farmers Market is an easy find and surely not to be missed.

Where: Grove Street PATH Plaza, Grove Street + Newark Streets

When:

  • January 11th – April 18th (winter market) | Thursdays from 4PM-6PM
  • April 22nd to December 19th (spring, summer, + fall market) | Mondays and Thursdays from 3PM-7PM

There really is something for everyone at the Journal Square Green Market. With both food and craft vendors, you can pick up all sorts of delights. Its location near the Journal Square PATH station makes it ultra-convenient for a midweek refresh of your fruits and veggies.

Hamilton Park Farmers’ Market

A quick walk from the PATH, bus stop, and Light Rail, the Hamilton Park Farmers Market has a mix of vendors ranging from local farms and restaurants to fitness vendors from time to time.

Paulus Hook Farmers’ Market

The Paulus Hook Farmers Market is both a farmers market and a CSA pickup spot for local subscribers.

Riverview Farmers’ Market
