A Guide to Farmers Markets in Hoboken + Jersey City

If you’re like the Hoboken Girl team, then you love shopping and supporting local businesses. When the seasons change, perusing outdoor markets becomes a weekly must. In light of this, we’ve rounded up the farmer’s markets opening around Hoboken + Jersey City this fall. More specifically, where to get fresh everything. Check out our comprehensive guide to farmers markets in Hoboken and Jersey City and some of the vendors you’ll see at each.

Hoboken Farmers Market


The market opened for its 23rd season starting June 1, 2021 and takes place on Tuesdays from 2:00PM – 6:00PM. The markets will be located on the sidewalks along the east side of Church Square Park and the west side of Demarest School. Union Hill Farms, Melick’s Town Farm, and Circle Brook Organic farms will all sell New Jersey produce. Pickle-Licious, Gourmet Dried Fruits and Nuts, Hoboken Farms, and the Kimchi Kitchen will be selling their locally made products.

Where: Garden Street between Fourth and Fifth Streets

When: June -November | Tuesdays from 2:00PM-6:00PM

Uptown Farmers Market

The City of Hoboken, in partnership with Bijou Properties, hosts the Uptown Farmers Market every Saturday from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM under the 14th Street viaduct between Grand and Adams Streets.

Historic Downtown Jersey City Farmers Market 


With over 25 vendors, the Historic Downtown Jersey City Farmers Market is an easy find and surely not to be missed. It is conveniently open until 8:00PM for those who work a 9-5.

When: Started April 26th through December 20th || Mondays + Thursdays from 4:00PM-8:00PM

Riverview Farmers Market


Take a stroll through Riverview Fisk Park (with NYC views)  in Jersey City Heights and enjoy live music, and a variety of awesome vendors.

Journal Square Green Market

There really is something for everyone at the Journal Square Green Market. With both food and craft vendors, you can pick up all sorts of delights. Its location near the Journal Square PATH station makes it ultra-convenient for a midweek refresh of your fruits and veg.

Lincoln Park Farmers Market

With a vegan donut truck and frequently offered free yoga classes in the park, a trip to the Lincoln Park Farmers Market is anything but ordinary. Sure, you’ll find traditional produce offerings, but the variety of vendors make this market unique.

Paulus Hook Farmers Market

The Paulus Hook Farmers Market is both a farmers market and a CSA pickup spot for local subscribers.

Hamilton Park Farmers Market

A quick walk from the PATH, bus stop, and Light Rail, the Hamilton Park Farmers Market has a mix of vendors ranging from local farms and restaurants to fitness vendors from time to time.
