Coup De Coeur is French for “lovestruck,” which means, “a feeling of when you see something, that’s it.” This newly renovated Hoboken boutique definitely gives off those vibes, which makes it hard for customers to leave empty-handed. About Coup De Coeur
This Uptown Hoboken boutique has been around for years, but this past spring they decided to close their doors temporarily for a revamp. They not only changed the interior layout of the store, but also improved their inventory, adding in lifestyle pieces and an athleisure section. The newly renovated shop reopened on Sunday, August 3rd.
“It was time for a change for the better,” one of the owners revealed. The renovations involved a paint change, fixture updates, additional space, a new logo, and more.
The Boutique Ambience
The boutique’s new look is sleek and modern, with minimal decor, and includes subtle touches of copper detailing. {Fun face —all of the clothing racks around the store are fully functional copper pipes.} The store is easy to shop in, utilizing only clothing racks which provides an open and spacious feel, unlike the previous setup.

The sales staff are kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable about what the store has to offer. Whatever customers are looking for, the staff is willing and eager to help. The shop owners want Coup De Coeur to become a community, not just a retail store, and they plan to host occasional events now that they have more space.
The Inventory+ Pricing
Despite the upscale feel of the shop, the assortment of inventory is very affordable, which was a pleasant surprise. For example, a silk “going-out” top was around $38, a stylish sweatshirt was $68, and a dress was around $100+. Coup De Coeur has something for everyone and price ranges vary by designer. Their diverse assortment consists of workout clothing, bralettes, leggings, jeans, casual wear, special occasion dresses, outerwear, and jackets.
They offer something for every occasion and carry more than twenty brands including Susana Monaco, Finders Keepers, Astr the Label, C/MEO Collective, 4SI3NNA, Heartloom, to name a few. “We want to offer choice, encourage people to explore, and enable them to walk out with multiple outfits,” explains one of the shop owners. “We can help them find what feels right and at the right price for them.”
