With America’s 250th birthday approaching, foodie spots across New Jersey are getting ready to celebrate. Bakeries, restaurants, and ice cream shops are creating Fourth of July-themed treats for us to enjoy. Patriotic sundaes, red, white, and blue desserts, and holiday-edition specials – pretty much anywhere and everywhere in New Jersey has us covered for 4th of July 2026 celebrations. We’ve rounded up places across the state with confirmed or upcoming menu features. Read on for a list of Fourth of July food in New Jersey.
American Dream Sundae + more from A La Mode Ice Cream Parlor | 301 East 55th Street, Ocean City
A La Mode is an ice cream store located in Ocean City near Corson’s Inlet State Park, and it doesn’t just celebrate America for one day – it’s alllll season. The menu includes patriotic desserts like the American Dream sundae, made with strawberry ice cream, marshmallow cream, and strawberries topped with whipped cream, cherries, and an American flag. Or you could go back in time to America’s beginnings with the George Washington Carver Sundae made with peanut butter ice cream, peanut butter chocolate fudge, and whole peanuts, once again topped with whipped cream and cherries. They are a full-season item, but still the perfect treat for The Fourth. The parlor is also serving up lemon blueberry ice cream and Uncle Sam’s birthday cake ice cream for the holiday. As a teaser, the team provided us a sneak peek of the triple scoop waffle cone with vanilla, strawberry, and cookie monster (pictured below).

Located in Atlantic County, Bears County Custard is an ice cream and dirty soda shop that serves a rotating selection of seasonal sundaes. On May 20th, the store shared its Red, White, and Blue Gelati sundae. The dessert is made of layers of blue razz and cherry water ice with vanilla soft serve, and red, white, and blue sprinkles. It is still available to order in July, and it is a much-needed cool treat for the summer holiday.

Independence Day Bites from Boomerang Bites | 152 Newark Street, Hoboken

It might be an Australian bakery, but Boomerang Bites still wants to celebrate the United States’ birthday. Boomerang Bites is founder Andrea Rizvi’s take on the classic Australian dessert, “slices.” For next weekend’s celebrations, Boomerang Bites has a Stars and Stripes sampler, which includes four flavors– Kindly Key Lime, Choc Peanut Butter, She-Can Pecan, and a Stars and Stripes bedangled white chocolate shortbread. Kindly Key Lime is a short bread cookie with a key lime and coconut pie layer. Choc Peanut Butter clearly has chocolate and peanut butter mixed in, but also is made with caramel to make it sweet and salty. She-Can Pecan is basically a bite-sized pecan pie, made with a fresh layer of crunchy pecans. And finally, the limited edition Stars and Stripes shortbread, a shortbread bite layered with white chocolate and red, white, and blue star sprinkles. Online shipping orders are available until the end of this week, but will be sold at the store’s on-site location in Hoboken.

Star Spangled Lemon Cake from Carlo’s Bakery | 95 Washington Street, Hoboken

If there is any bakery in Hoboken that someone will know about, it is the New Jersey/New York bakery chain, Carlo’s Bakery. The bakery has a long menu of classic Italian desserts and cakes, plus a rotating seasonal menu. For this month, the bakery is serving two limited edition items. The first is a twist on the viral Dot Cakes. The American Dot Sprinkled Cakes are vanilla and chocolate cakes covered in red, white, and blue nonpareil sprinkles. The second is a Star-Spangled Lemon Cake– a lemon sponge cake layered with lemon Swiss Meringue Buttercream and iced in red, white, and blue vanilla buttercream.

Custom 4th of July Treats from Dipped By Jae | Fair Lawn

Dipped by Jae is a small business bakery focused solely on custom-made desserts. Rather than a classic daily menu, the bakery sells decorated cake pops, Oreos, and other treats designed for specific events. This upcoming holiday is no exception, and the bakery is taking orders for any 4th of July celebrations. Customers can preorder sets of chocolate-covered Oreos, pretzels, Rice Krispies treats, marshmallow skewers, and strawberries, as well as cake pops and cakesicles decorated with red, white, and blue holiday details made of dyed white chocolate and red, white, and blue sprinkles. Orders can be sent in now, and will be picked up on July 2nd or 3rd.

America 250 Stars and Stripes Ice Cream from Four Boys Ice Cream | 10 Leesville Road, Jackson Township

Four Boys Ice Cream is a family-owned ice cream establishment that offers seasonal items throughout the year, timed to upcoming holidays. On June 24th, it shared how Four Boys will be celebrating America’s birthday this year– with a brand new limited edition flavor, America 250 Stars and Stripes. The ice cream is a combination of vanilla ice cream, strawberry and blueberry sauces, and patriotic sprinkles. To make the celebrations even sweeter, the America 250 Sundae is available, too. The sundae is the new America 250 flavor, topped with whipped cream, stars-and-stripes sprinkles, and a cherry. Both desserts are available now at its locations in Jackson, 81 Main Street in Farmingdale, 87 Washington Avenue in Milltown, 215 Forsgate Drive in Jamesburg, and 3 Tennent Avenue in Englishtown. All stores will sell while supplies last.

Firecracker Bomb Lemonade from Monkey Bread | 972 Boardwalk, Ocean City

Monkey Bread is not a typical boardwalk bakery. The main menu items are different flavors of Monkey Bread, a sweet, sticky, pull-apart bread coated in cinnamon and sugar. However, it also sells different flavors of lemonade, now including the Fourth of July Firecracker Bomb Lemonade. The refreshing drink is a red-and-blue fruity lemonade made with flavored syrups and lemon slices mixed in. It is available to order at the store on the Ocean City boardwalk today. 4th of July themed Monkey Breads and Sugar Cookies will definitely be added to the menu as well, but no specific date has been shared.

Colonial Drinking Songs and Toasts at Morris County Library | 30 East Hanover Avenue, Whippany
It might not be a specific 4th of July food, but it is definitely an Independence Day celebration. On June 30th, Morris County Library is kicking off the festivities with a colonial drinking songs and toasts event. Anne and Ridley Enslow will share a presentation about fascinating aspects of the American Revolution (like the importance of rum), and teach colonial drinking songs and toasts for everyone to join in on. The event will begin at 7:00, and is free for anyone to join. Step back in time and learn about the birth of our nation through songs, reenactments, and learning presentations.
America 250 Flavor from Nasto’s Ice Cream Co. | 236 Jefferson Street, Newark

Nasto’s Ice Cream Co. is a part of Nasto’s Old World Desserts, which sells gourmet ice cream desserts, like Reginetta and Tartufo. Nasto’s started America’s 250th birthday celebration early by announcing a new flavor on May 23rd. The flavor, named America 250, is a vanilla ice cream with red, white, and blue sprinkles mixed in. It is still available for the 4th of July at its two locations in Newark and at 992 Saint Georges Avenue in Woodbridge.

Sip ’N Swirl is a homemade ice cream store and truck with custom flavors available to buy online or in person. The store makes limited-edition flavors related to upcoming celebrations, like the Fourth of July. This year, Sip ’N Swirl has created a brand new flavor, the 1776 Swirl. It is homemade vanilla ice cream with red, white, and blue sprinkles and M&Ms. Pints of the 1776 Swirl are now available for purchase at the store.

Sprinkle Cups from Sundaes The Ice Cream Place | 3217 NJ-88, Point Pleasant
Sundaes The Ice Cream Place has been a Jersey Shore staple with four locations in Point Pleasant, Manasquan, Toms River, and Aberdeen. The menu goes beyond classic ice cream and sundaes. The ice cream shop also sells made-to-order ice cream cakes, cannoli sundaes, pineapple freezes, and its famous sprinkle cups, which are mini chocolate and vanilla sundaes covered with sprinkles. For Independence Day, Sundaes is selling red, white, and blue sprinkles cups, which are the classic mini sundaes covered in red, white, and blue sprinkles. In addition, the store has brought back the Firework Cakes– an ice cream cake decorated with red and blue fireworks made of frosting and red and blue star sprinkles. Both desserts are in the front cases of the store and are available to order now.

The Woo Hoo creamery offers more than just a regular ice cream menu. It offers ice cream classes for customers and seasonal flavors. In celebration of the United States’ 250th anniversary, the store launched a new ice cream, the Declaration of Delicious, as the 2026 Flavor of the Year. The ice cream is a combination of chocolate chip cookie pieces, apple pie pieces, and peanut butter swirls mixed into a brown sugar ice cream. The flavor is available now at Woo Hoo’s locations in Beach Haven and at 1909 Long Branch Boulevard in Surf City.

Coming Soon for 4th of July
Barry’s Do Me a Flavor | 309 Centre Street, Beach Haven
It is most likely that any classic summer food you think of, Barry’s Do Me a Flavor will have. The family-run business is a lunch-and-dinner restaurant serving sandwiches, fish tacos, pizzas, ice cream, and floats. Last year, from July 1st to the 5th, it shared new Independence Day desserts, such as a Firecracker Float and the United Scoops of America sundae. Barry’s has confirmed that there will be specials again, including the festive sprinkle pamwich.

Calandra’s Bakery | 234 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell
For 64 years, Calandra’s Bakery has been operating in Essex County. Last year, the bakery offered a selection of desserts to order for July 4th or even later. This included American flag layered cakes and red, white, and blue cupcakes. The bakery has said that once the 4th of July arrives, it will definitely add some holiday features to the menu to order on site.
Last Licks | 134 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover

Last Licks is a family-owned, baseball-themed ice cream shop in East Hanover. The store sells various ice cream and ice cream desserts, including soft serve, ice cream sandwiches, cannoli sundaes, and cake cups (mini chocolate-and-vanilla ice cream cakes). Next week, Last Licks has confirmed a bonus to the menu: red, white, and blue ice cream sandwiches, cake cups, and flag ice cream cakes. All desserts are carried in the store and will be available to order next week.
The Little Daisy Bake Shop | 622 Valley Road, Montclair
The Little Daisy Bake Shop has everything for any sweet lover to enjoy. Not only are they a peanut- allergy-friendly bakery, but they also have a consistently changing menu of cakes, cookies, cupcakes, brownies, crumb cake, cinnamon rolls, and scones. The Little Daisy Bake Shop makes holiday-specific treats, such as their recent Father’s Day menu featuring caramel bourbon chocolate cupcakes, s’mores brownies, and more. For the Fourth of July, the featured menu will include treats perfect for any Independence Day celebration. The specific desserts have not been said yet, but will definitely be shared next week and can be ordered at the store.
The Local Market + Kitchen | 604 Central Ave, Ship Bottom
The Local Market + Kitchen sells it all, from coffee to desserts to sandwiches and more. The menu variety never stops, thanks to their monthly seasonal drink menu. Last July, The Local Market celebrated with an exclusive drink: the cotton-candy-flavored Rocket Pop Lemonade. July is not here yet, and The Local Market still has their limited-featured June drinks available. But another holiday-special drink has been confirmed and will be announced on their social media shortly and can be ordered in person.

Sundae Fundae Ice Cream | 2249 Bridge Avenue, Point Pleasant
Sundae Fundae is definitely all kinds of fun when it comes to ice cream. The ice cream shop serves Hershey’s ice cream, water ice, soft serve, and ice cream cookie sandwiches. Sundae Fundae has not released anything yet for next week’s celebrations, but has said they will have their classic cookie sandwiches– a choice of any hard or soft serve ice cream flavor between two big Oreo or chocolate chip cookies– decorated with red, white, and blue sprinkles available during the 4th to buy on site.
