Wellness and fashion lovers, One Sol boutique has officially reopened as of today since closing its doors due to COVID. The shop, formerly located at 1125 Maxwell Place, has moved to a new location at 1422 Grand Street. Owner Marisol Page, after a heartbreaking post a few months back during COVID-19 shutdowns, is continuing the charge on building the wellness community in Hoboken. Back in late June, Marisol had posted on her Instagram that she would be determining the fate of her location in uptown Hoboken, sharing with her followers, “From me to you – An Update on What’s going on…I have always tried to be transparent and honest with you, as I am so grateful for you beyond words. I, like many others during this crazy time, have been faced with a difficult decision about my store. As I have not come to a conclusion yet, I will have to very soon. I will keep you posted. Thank you so much for your love and support. ❤️.”

Shortly after, she announced the closing of One Sol at that location, but shared that she’d be looking to relocate, all while still selling apparel and products online and via local delivery.

Just this week, One Sol announced that it will be opening its doors to customers as of October 7th — but by appointment only. The newsletter to customers stated, “Grab your besties or schedule some much needed alone time and book a private shopping session with us! Tailored to your needs, we’ll create a personalized shopping experience for up to three guests. Sip on bubbly, enjoy a treat, and let’s make this time all about you.”

Masks must be worn and guests will enjoy a 10% off in-studio discount good for the day of the appointment.”

Marisol also commented on a recent Instagram post about the opening last week, saying, “‘The best method of overcoming obstacles is the team method.’
~ Colin Powell

The struggle is real, but so is the glory of overcoming it. I stand inside my new studio filled with gratitude for the support system I am blessed with, both personally and professionally. I am thankful for the “team” of friends, family, fellow business owners, loyal customers and strangers that helped light the way during difficult times. The strength I drew from others was the push (I didn’t know) I needed and couldn’t be more grateful for. I am proud to be in a place of good energy, feeling hopeful and excited for what’s to come, and I could have never gotten here without most of you. So I simply just want to say thank you :).”

About One Sol

This new space has found its “soul-full” purpose in providing body and soul solutions for the Hoboken community with price-point friendly athletic wear {as well as day-to-day athleisure clothing} to hosting spiritual seminars and wellness events, that Marisol has every intention of resuming, according to the newsletter. The focus is of One Sol on wellness and creating a space where Hoboken residents can not only shop but also experience gatherings to further explore their soul and find their happiest self.

“We are working hard to continue creating events that bring strangers together as friends, social networking both professionally and personally, local business collaborations to support and lift our small business community, and most importantly continue to offer unique opportunities of self-care and self-love in the *never-ending* quest of what makes your SOL happy,” the newsletter stated.

Previously,  One Sol {ie. Soul} had operated as a pop-up space where it hosted small local businesses to allow experts to have a space to share their tips with the community, as well as host classes and workshops. Reiki, Tarot cards, and psychic readings were common — plus meditation experts, nutritionists, and even a flower store owner – just to name a few.

About the Owner

After years in the hospitality business in NYC, Marisol, a mother of four, moved to Hoboken in 2014 to find more space and opportunity for her growing family. She discovered a passion to create a place to connect with the community on many levels. ONE/SOL was birthed with that exact purpose.

The name ONE/SOL was inspired by her own name, Marisol but also inspired by her happy place, the sun, and water, which is also the meaning of her name. “SOL is universal, it’s collective, it’s the one and only, it’s the center. It’s a version of ‘soul’ and the idea that we are ALL searching for something,” she shared with Hoboken Girl.
