However, there are plenty of cost-effective ways to see the event around the corner, with plenty of bars, pop-up events, and more showing the World Cup and celebrating it. If You Don’t Watch Soccer, But Still Want to Be Involved
Around the World Watch Party | Claremont Avenue, between Mallory + West Side Avenues, Jersey City
This event will be held on the day of the World Cup Final, which is the most important match of the event. According to the City of Jersey City, it will “pair the final match with a full cultural festival celebrating the global community that calls Jersey City home.”
Hoboken Block Parties | Multiple Locations
The City of Hoboken and the Hoboken Business Alliance (HBA) will be hosting a 12-day series of block parties in six pop-up neighborhood fan zones during World Cup game days. The festivities will feature live match screenings, food + drinks, local retailers, and live entertainment.
The fan zone locations are as follows:
- Zone 1: First Street between Washington Street and Garden Street
- Zone 2: 10th Street between Park Avenue and Willow Avenue, Garden Street and Bloomfield Street, and Bloomfield Street and Washington Street
- Zone 3: Grand Street between 14th and 15th Streets, including under the Viaduct
- Zone 4: 14th Street between Bloomfield Street and Washington Street, and between Washington Street and Hudson Street
- Zone 5: Sinatra Drive between First Street and Fourth Street
- Zone 6: Adams Street between Fifth Street and Sixth Street
On Sunday, July 19th, the day of the World Cup Final, there will be expanded celebrations across Zone 1 + Zone 4 along First Street and 14th Street.

The Hutton | 225 Hutton Street, Jersey City

Some of us may just want a dine-in experience with a side of World Cup watching, rather than the other way around, and The Hutton is perfect for those casual viewing needs. The restaurant has already confirmed it will be doing World Cup watch parties + drink specials on its enclosed backyard patio, so it’ll be a laid-back alternative for watching matches.
Harrison Jersey Fan Hub | 600 Cape May Street, Harrison
If you don’t mind the quick trip, Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison will be hosting a free Jersey Fan Hub event series that aligns with the game dates. The fan hub will provide opportunities to watch real-time broadcasts, enjoy live entertainment, and more. Also, bring your little one on its opening day of Sunday, June 14th, as there will be family-friendly programming such as a KIDZ BOP LIVE concert and player meet-and-greets.
Official “Flag City” World Cup Celebration | Columbus Drive, between Marin Boulevard + Washington Street, Jersey City
Jersey City is one of the designated New Jersey “Flag Cities” selected to host an official World Cup fan festival this summer. It will be hosted on Columbus Drive, between Marin Boulevard + Washington Street, on Friday, June 12th. The festival will run from 5:00 PM to midnight and feature large-scale programming, vendors, live match viewing, and more. If you’re looking for a World Cup-related event that offers other family-friendly activities, this is a good choice.
FYI: If it’s closer to you, keep in mind that Secaucus was also selected as a “Flag City” for a fan festival. It will hold its event on Sunday, June 21st, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at Laurel Hill Park.
Pier 13 | 1301 Sinatra Drive North, Hoboken
Pier 13 is beloved for its waterfront views, food truck pop-ups, and drinks, and it will have opportunities to watch games as well. If you want a chance to lightly enjoy the ambiance of a World Cup watch party without the fanfare of intense sporting fans, Pier 13 is a great option. If You Want a Classic Sports Bar Vibe
10th + Willow | 935 Willow Avenue, Hoboken

Mulligan’s is known as the Hoboken soccer bar and has been serving the Mile Square with viewing parties and other sports-related events since 2000. Mulligan’s has multiple rooms with bars, big screens, and even a pool table in the back room at times. Expect big crowds at the bar during the tournament.
