Ah, happy hour. Seems like we need it more than ever these days. After the year we’ve had, we all deserve to let loose a little, and have a post-work beverage. And while there are an endless number of spots in Hoboken and Jersey City where you can grab a cocktail after your 9-5 – sometimes you don’t want to spend $15+ on a drink. Therefore, we’ve put our trust in Hoboken Girl readers when it comes to scoping out the best happy hours in town – so keep reading to find out where you can find the best happy hours in Hoboken for your next outing, according to local residents.

Half-price martinis at 10th and Willow are a Mile Square staple, and you can get your hands on some during happy hour on Thursday nights. Besides Thursdays, 10th and Willow offers happy hour deals on food and drink all week long {including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays}. The different specials can be found on the chalkboard right when you walk in. 

Belo Bar {104 Hudson Street}

One of the happiest hours in town. Belo Bar – a relatively new spot in downtown Hoboken – hosts a happy hour daily {that’s right, we said every day}. On Sundays through Thursdays, catch Belo Bar’s happy hour from 3PM – 7PM, while on Fridays and Saturdays it runs from 3PM – 5PM. There are countless fun cocktails and food items on the happy hour menu.

This uptown hidden gem is always serving up delicious cocktails and food. But if you didn’t already know, they have a great $2 off draft beers special from 4PM – 8PM on most weeknights, and half-priced bottles of wine on Thursday. Make sure to check out this cozy spot for one of your next happy hours.

City Bistro {56 14th Street}

If you’re looking for a Monday Funday spot – City Bistro has you covered. This popular uptown spot has half-priced almost everything on the menu {including food}. Sign us up for a rooftop happy hour to start the week.

Finnegan’s {734 Willow Avenue}

With a different special daily, Finnegan’s is an ideal spot for post-work drinks and catching up with friends. Some of the specials include Wing Night on Tuesdays – with $.50 wings and $3 select beers, draft night on Wednesdays – where any draft is $5, and more. All the happy hour specials can be found here. Dollar beers. That’s right – ICYMI Green Rock in Hoboken has domestic mugs for $1 dollar on Tuesday through Fridays {from 5PM – 8PM}. It’s a steal, as are some of their other specials. These include Taco Tuesday {half-priced tacos and $5 Casamigos margaritas}, and Karaoke Night on Thursdays {all drinks are half-priced}.

Take a half-day, and enjoy half-priced wine by the glass on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 11AM – 4PM at La Isla’s uptown location. With daily food specials, this is a great spot to meet for an early happy hour {we won’t judge!}.

Head to this Hoboken hotspot from 3PM to 6PM on Monday through Friday. On the happy hour menu, you’ll find discounted signature cocktails, including The Cuban’s Mojitos and Avenida Washingtons.

Madison Bar + Grill {1316 Washington Street}

From Tequila/Taco Tuesday to Wine Wednesdays, and more – The Madison is a go-to uptown spot for an evening out. Happy hour is every weekday at The Madison from 4PM – 8PM, with deals on beer, wine/sangria, and well drinks/margaritas. You’ll thank us later!

McSwiggan’s {110 1st Street}

Are you ready to test your trivia skills? Trivia Tuesday nights at McSwiggan’s are a go-to for some post-work drinks. With $3.50 Miller Lite bottles, $4 glasses of Pinot Grigio, and $15 buckets of Coors Light – test your knowledge from 8:30PM – 10PM at this downtown spot. Every Wednesday The Stewed Cow is serving up {you guessed it} whiskey and wings! $5 for whiskey drinks and $5 for an order of wings.
