Where to Watch the Olympics in Hoboken + Jersey City

After being postponed due to COVID-19, the Summer 2020 (well, 2021) Olympic games are here and are taking place in Tokyo. The games will begin on July 23rd and will end on August 8th, so it’s time to find a local spot to watch!  We’ve compiled a list below of places where you can watch the Olympics in Hoboken and Jersey City.

Hoboken

80 River Bar & Kitchen | 80 River Street

With over 10 TVs, a large projection screen, and a variety-filled menu, 80 River has pulled out all the stops for this summer’s Olympic games. Stop by during happy hour and get half-priced drinks.

There’s absolutely no way you can miss any of the action at Black Bear, with over 50 HDTV’s available for viewing. It’s one of the best spots to catch a game, plus cash in on daily specials.

Stop in for an unforgettable dinner at this staple and stay for the game. Order some dessert while you’re at it; we recommend the Snowboken. Maybe you’ll spot a local celeb rooting for the same team.

Northern Soul Kitchen & Bar | 700 1st Street

Northern Soul offers guilt-free, comfort food and while you’re there, share the same love the owners have for the Olympics. The restaurant serves brunch, lunch, dinner, and drinks. Opt for the buffalo cauliflower – you won’t regret it.

Watch who wins the gold at this local pub. It will be showcasing all of the Olympic events. McSwiggan’s will also be providing bucket specials while you watch the action.

A newbie but goodie, Sirenetta offers a beautiful atmosphere and delicious Italian cuisine. This gem will also be showing the Olympic games indoors.

Sirenetta’s sister restaurant is not only the perfect spot for brunch or a delicious dinner, but it could also be the place to watch the summer games. Stop by during the aperitivo happy hour and enjoy $15 wine flights, $8 spritzes, and $5 Peroni’s.

The Ale House | 1034 Willow Avenue

With nine TVs available, The Ale House will be showing all of the Olympic games. The bar will also be offering a special $6-$8 personal pitcher during the summer games.

Originally a hotel, The Madison has transformed into a place where you can enjoy daytime eats, nighttime beats, and Olympic showings in between. This is a great spot to watch some games and grab a drink.

Jersey City

The Brightside Tavern | 141 Bright Street

This community favorite, two-floor tavern will display the summer games in the bar room, dining room, and upstairs. Play some mini basketball while the US takes on their competitor.

The Hutton Bar & Grill | 225 Hutton Street
