Modcup Coffee | 479 Palisade Avenue
Modcup Coffee fuses a love of music and coffee in The Heights. The cafe roasts its own coffee and has a wide variety of different types available for purchase. It’s right across the street from the Riverview-Fisk Park, so people can enjoy their coffee sitting on a bench by the fountain.
Lil’ Dove Cafe | 589 Palisade Avenue
Lil’ Dove Cafe serves up coffee and other fun gifts at the cafe on Palisade Avenue. The menu includes baked goods, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and tasty coffee drinks. The cafe is open Wednesday through Sunday.
Prato Bakery | 296 Palisade Avenue
This spot is one of four locations around Hoboken + Jersey City. The Italian bakery has plenty of coffee, tea, sandwiches, and pastry options on the menu. We suggest picking something up here before meeting up with a friend at a nearby park, like Riverview-Fisk Park.

The Alps | 351 Palisade Avenue
The Alps is a bar and restaurant that encourages guests to come and hang out. The drink menu has a ton of wine and beer options to please everyone at the party. The food menu has several shareable options as well as a variety of entrees, like a grilled cheese or a cold noodle bowl.
Angry Archie’s | 565 Palisade Avenue
This is a family-run establishment in Jersey City that’s been around since 2015. The storefront is open Tuesday through Sunday, and the team also has a food truck that travels around Jersey City. Both the food truck and restaurant sell Maine lobster rolls, sandwiches, fries, mac and cheese, and chocolate chip cookies.
Apnaa Lahore Restaurant | 557 Palisade Avenue
Spices meet soul at Apnaa Lahore Restaurant in Jersey City. The restaurant serves Pakistani and Indian foods, like chicken biryani, butter chicken, spring rolls, and more. People can dine in the restaurant or order take-out Monday through Sunday.
Bread + Salt | 435 Palisade Avenue
Many locals know this bakery as the spot to get delicious breads and pizzas in The Heights. Some of the other items on the menu include different kinds of cakes, cold cuts, and salads. The bakery is only open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from 10AM to 4PM. Be prepared to wait in line if you want to pick up lunch this summer.
Corto | 507 Palisade Avenue
Corto is a cozy Italian spot that’s been around since 2018. The restaurant is BYOB and has seasonal dishes that rotate all year round. It’s open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday, with lunch services available on Saturdays and Sundays.
La Bodega Latin Cuisine | 407 Palisade Avenue
La Bodega serves Dominican food Monday through Sunday on Palisade Avenue. The family-owned business celebrated 30 years in 2025 and plans to continue serving authentic cuisines for years to come. It’s open 8AM to 6PM daily.
Low Fidelity | 328 Palisade Avenue
Low Fidelity has been a go-to spot for a craft cocktail in Jersey City since 2017. There is plenty of seating indoors, but when the weather is nice, guests can enjoy their drinks and Detroit-style pizza outside in its backyard space.
Mike’s Restaurant | 602 Palisade Avenue
For those looking for Mexican food, Mike’s Restaurant has plenty of options on its menu. It’s open Monday through Sunday and has breakfast, lunch, and dinner foods.

Riverview-Fisk Park | 498 Palisade Avenue
On a beautiful spring day, Riverview-Fisk Park is the place to soak up some sun and relax outdoors. The park has panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline, plus a birds-eye view of Hoboken, a beautiful fountain, and plenty of space to spread a picnic blanket out for some friends. Plus, the park holds community events all year round.

Firehouse Fitness | 520 Palisade Avenue
This gym is located in what used to be one of the oldest firehouses in Jersey City. The gym has a variety of classes available, such as dance, cardio, meditation, HIIT, boxing, and more. Plus, there are personal training services available.
Sol Spirit Yoga + Wellness | 523 Palisade Avenue
Sol Spirit is a community-focused studio on Palisade Avenue that opened in 2021. The studio is Latina and women-owned and has 30 classes each week that vary from beginner to more intense levels. In 2024, the owner opened a second space in Montclair.

Riverview Farmers’ Market | 498 Palisade Avenue
The Riverview Farmers Market is held each Sunday from the beginning of May to the end of November. It’s open rain or shine and home to many local vendors from all around Jersey. Visit on Sunday from 10AM to 2PM.
