Hoboken is a strong community. Many residents + business owners alike look out for other members of the community in more ways than one. Unfortunately, this past weekend, our strong community suffered a blow. Late in the evening on October 5th, W Kodak Jewelers in uptown Hoboken was the target of a break-in. Keep reading to learn more about the break-in at W. Kodak Jeweler’s uptown location.

What We Know
Though the information is still limited, a representative of W. Kodak Jewelers confirmed with Hoboken Girl in an email that the break-in occurred late in the evening on October 5th at the flagship 1123 Hudson Street location. Luckily, “no one was present or harmed during the incident and only minor damage occurred,” the representative told HG.
“We appreciate the rapid response from [the] Hoboken Police Department and their due diligence in investigating this matter,” the representative wrote in an email. “Our store is open for business during regular hours and we look forward to continuing to serve Hoboken as your local jeweler.”
We’re still waiting on more information to be released, but we are happy to hear that team and space at W. Kodak Jewelers are doing well and that no one was harmed.

With such a strong commitment to helping others, its no wonder that news of the break-in is a blow to both the store, its team, and the local community that patronizes the shop. While it is still unknown what exactly was taken from the store, it seems the impact of hasn’t majorly affected the store or its strong, committed team.
