Hoboken Girl spoke with Maddy, Director of Marketing at Landmark Hospitality, the space is still under construction. As far as the space opening for biz, we’ve got a couple of months of waiting before anything is fully ready.

“Hudson House is a dynamic hospitality destination in the Port Liberté neighborhood of Jersey City,” says Maddy. “The building features two breathtaking event spaces for groups up to 500, Terra e Mare, our signature restaurant with multiple private dining areas, and the iconic Stork Club rooftop bar.”

Weddings at Hudson House

If you are a bride- or groom-to-be looking for a venue space, you’ll be delighted to know that Landmark Hospitality properties have a pretty amazing track record when it comes to weddings. Their spaces have garnered awards like Wedding Wire’s Couples’ Choice in 2017, Manhattan Bride Best of 2017, New Jersey Bride Love It 2017, The Knot’s 2017 pick for Best of Weddings, and The Knot’s Best of Weddings Hall of Fame.

“Designed for the modern bride, the spaces boast all the luxurious amenities found throughout our Landmark Hospitality portfolio,” Maddy explains.

In addition to holding weddings here, it looks like the banquet halls are also available for rent for corporate and private dining events.

Since Hudson House was announced more than a year ago in August 2018, their official Instagram account has been documenting the construction process at nearly every turn. From the blueprints to the hard-hat tours, the Hudson House IG has shared nearly everything for over a year {with a few adorable snapshots of couples getting engaged in between}. While construction is still ongoing and there aren’t any official professional pics to get a sneak-peak from, rest assured that nearly every bit of the space has been photographed and uploaded to their IG.

“Hudson House is defined by its panoramic views, pristine, landscaped gardens, rich architectural elements and of course, our memorable hospitality,” Maddy says. “Our current plan is to launch the entire property in phases with our event spaces coming first. We are ramping up to open our Terra e Mare restaurant by end of the year. The restaurant’s Contemporary-American menu by executive chef Daniel Brunina will focus on seafood, in-house dry-aged steaks, and local and seasonal ingredients.”

According to Maddy, the Hudson House restaurant is expected to open on December 2019. Guests can expect a large restaurant space that comfortably fits 120 guests, inclusive of bar seats, high-end food, and classic drinks.

“Menu highlights include our Bolognese gratin, impressive steaks for two, and salt-baked tilefish,” Maddy adds. “The beverage program will highlight the classic ‘Stork Club’ era,” Maddy explains, “encompassing a well-curated wine list, bespoke cocktails, and craft beer.”

Following soon after will be Hudson House’s rooftop, which is expected to open in spring 2020. If you thought the views from the ground floor of Hudson House were breathtaking, then prepare for what’s in store when you check out the rooftop bar.

“The rooftop experience features both indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing for year-round enjoyment of arguably the best views in the tristate of NYC’s most iconic landmarks. The Stork Club, offers a complete experience unique cocktails and food menu to pair with the ultimate social scene.”

Landmark Hospitality + Jersey City

While there’s no official timeline yet, Maddy says that everyone behind Hudson House is excited for things to kick-off and to meet and serve Jersey City.

“We are looking forward to serving the community and creating another buzz-worthy Jersey City experience!” Maddy says.

As if that weren’t enough to be excited for, Landmark Hospitality also has a corporate giving program so that it can give back even more to Jersey City. Maddy adds, “Landmark Hospitality’s corporate giving program, H.U.G. {Help Us Give}, established in 2001, strives for the betterment of the communities in which we serve, and we look forward to continuing our efforts here in Jersey City.”

Landmark, which also owns other properties in Pennsylvania and previously operated several well-known New York ones, is no stranger to New Jersey. With other NJ venues like The Boathouse at Mercer Lake, Liberty House, The Ryland Inn, Stone House at Stirling Ridge, and more under its belt, Landmark is poised to own 10 New Jersey properties by the end of this year. Some are restaurants, some are banquet halls or wedding venues; but what most all of them have in common is a location in a historic place and of course, a gorgeous view.

There’s one more property of note that’s currently in talks with Landmark Venues and it, too, is located in our beloved Jersey City. You may have heard swirls of a rumor that Jersey City’s Casino in the Park is coming back; while no official contracts have been signed, Landmark Venues is currently the frontrunner for developing the former Casino property.
