About Six 26

Every single detail of Six26 was intricately planned out, from the name to the weekly events, no stone was left unturned. The name alone boasts an incredible story. June 26th, 2015 is an important date in LGBTQ+ history. It marked the day where the Supreme Court ruled same-sex marriage to be legal nationally.Six26 Lounge’s name pays homage to this important date in history. Their mission — to make everyone who comes through their doors feel accepted, welcomed, and comfortable being who they are {we’re not crying — you are}.

About the Owner

Owner Kenneth Caulfield, originally from Ireland, opened Six26 and sister restaurant, The Ashford earlier this year, after being inspired by a conversation with a member of the LGBTQ+ community about the struggles of being accepted. Being a straight man, the conversation opened his eyes and inspired him to pursue something that would make everyone feel welcomed, accepted, and included. Both places opened simultaneously, providing a space for everyone to come and enjoy great food, drinks, and people. He knew there was something missing from the city and Six26 completed the puzzle.
