New Jersey Wedding Venues With a View of New York City

Proposal season is officially upon us {if you couldn’t already tell by the dozens of engagement posts on your Insta feed}, and per usual, we’re helping out our fellow fiancé/ées with some wedding planning. If you dream of getting married on the waterfront {whether it be a big or small occasion}, we are surrounded by venues that have breathtaking New York City skyline views. So for our bride and grooms-to-be, we’ve created the ultimate list of New Jersey wedding venues in the Hudson County area with a view of New York City:

The W Hotel {225 River Street, Hoboken}

Situated right on the Hudson, guests can expect an upscale wedding scene with all of the bells and whistles. The chic and luxe hotel provides an all-inclusive wedding complete with rooms for guests to stay in and a gorgeous area for a day after breakfast. With a wall of windows, a ceiling full of skylights, and a modern, elegant vibe, this venue provides a truly customizable experience for the bride and groom that is sure to please. Located in the grand W Hotel has its perks, wedding guests can book a room overlooking the Hudson.

As for the bride and groom, a {complimentary} elegant bridal suite awaits you for both before and after the reception. Also available at The W is Lulu’s, an indoor/outdoor patio space as an option for a smaller wedding or cocktail hour. Cake creations are provided by Palermo’s Bakery. If you are interested in a morning-after brunch, Halifax {The W’s waterfront restaurant} serves up an amazing brunch that will top off your wedding weekend.

The Hyatt {2 Exchange Place, Jersey City}

We love the multifaceted vibe at many of these waterside hotel locations and The Hyatt is perf. A hotel is the way to go if you have many traveling guests, and The Hyatt does not disappoint — it’s glamorous, rich, and oh so magnificent with windows leading out to a private patio overlooking downtown for your guests to enjoy {hello perfect wedding photos}. Brides + grooms rave about the carefully crafted food on the cocktail and dinner menu. The Hyatt also offers options for an after party and morning brunch, which is convenient to have all in the same place. Harborside {Jersey City}

You will get all the feels when you see the views at Harborside Creative Catering. Located right in the heart of Exchange Place, this remarkable location is everything the happy couple and their guests could ask for. With five star reviews from so many brides and grooms raving about the food, service, views, + cake {from Carlo’s Bakery}, Harborside is the perfect place to hold the most special day of your life.

Maritime Parc {84 Audrey Zapp Drive, Jersey City}

For a wedding experience sans all of the gaudy New Jersey classics {chandeliers, marble floors, +  fountains}, Maritime Parc provides all of the glam. This venue provides a rustic yet rich feel with gorgeous architecture and decór. Whether you choose The Sky Room or The Aviary {both are ahh-mazing}, you and your guests will enjoy an unforgettable night with a picture perfect view. With a culinary genius like Chef Siversen, couples can create a completely customized menu for their guests to indulge in. We can’t forget the gorgeous outdoor wrap around areas that surround Maritime Parc. The grounds serve as a perfect place for an on-site wedding ceremony, too!

Battello {502 Washington Boulevard, Jersey City}


Although undergoing major renovations due to structural issues, this highly coveted wedding venue will be up and running when construction is complete {hopefully this year}. With sweeping views of the New York City Skyline, Battello offers all of the best of Italian-American cuisine to its guests right on the pier of the Newport Marina.

Recently married here, Anthony and Ellise Cannizzo bragged about the unbelievable experience they had as bride and groom at Battello. “The view was amazing. Our guests still talk about it all the time. They still talk remember every little detail about how amazing the food was.” explained Ellise.”The rustic and chic interior is the perfect location for a wedding party going for an organic yet elegant atmosphere. “My bridal assistant, Tammy, literally made sure I didn’t need a thing all night. She brought us food, bustled my dress, and even carried all my things during pictures, which was AMAZING!” she added. With indoor and outdoor areas that will truly wow your guests, this harborside venue creates a picture-perfect scene for a wedding.

The Westin {479 Washington Boulevard, Jersey City}

Jersey City seems to be the hub for some of the most outrageously beautiful wedding venues and we top this list off with The {gorgeous} Westin Hotel. Located right in the heart of Newport, this one-stop shop for a wedding is perfect for brides and grooms looking to accommodate guests from all over.

With options to host the rehearsal dinner and next day brunch {at Fire + Oak, of course} as well as luxurious rooms for your guests to stay in, The Westin offers the complete package for weddings. The Liberty House {76 Audrey Zapp Drive, Jersey City}

Located right in the heart of Liberty State Park, this venue has some of the best panoramic views of downtown Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. This rustic yet posh location has two stunning event rooms and an outdoor area with views unlike any other. Many couples choose to hold their ceremony right on site — because wouldn’t want to tie the knot with a backdrop like that. A wrap-around veranda encloses The Liberty House and leads to an even more picturesque outdoor area complete with roaring fire pits, oversized chess sets, and outdoor seating and tables. This venue offers two wedding packages that are sure to make your wedding dreams come true. Choose from the Grand Cocktail or the Premium {which includes a beautiful five-hour affair, open bar, as well as a three-tier wedding cake}. Whether you are looking for something smaller or you’re inviting everyone this side of the Hudson, Waterside could make all of your wedding dreams a reality. Being right on the water has its perks {picture this — an outdoor ceremony on the patio, overlooking the greatest city in the world}. The Chart House {Lincoln Harbor Pier D-T, Weehawken}

A staple restaurant in the area, The Chart House also provides a chic space for weddings right on the Hudson. With the picturesque backdrop of Manhattan {spanning all the way from Midtown to Wall Street}, your wedding will overlook some of the most gorgeous views of the city. The Grand Ballroom is the perfect place to hold an upscale wedding with a completely customizable menu. Sister location to Antique Bar & Bakery, The Lofts are the perfect place to have a unique wedding. With a sweeping panoramic view of the Manhattan Skyline, this penthouse space is like a blank canvas awaiting your creative touch. This venue boasts a very natural space with floor to ceiling windows, natural light, high ceilings and a gorgeous wrap around terrace. We like to think of The Lofts as one that is easily customizable to fit your personality. The coordinators at The Lofts take care of everything from entertainment to flowers to music to photographers — and everything else in between. Antique Bar & Bakery will also help you create a customized menu featuring their very distinct menu we all know and love.

Rooftop XP {1 Exchange Place, Jersey City}

The Rooftop at Exchange Place closely resembles a swanky New York City apartment with natural, yet exquisite decor. The organic color scheme that makes up this venue is perfect for the bride and groom who are chill, down to earth, yet enjoy the finer things in life. We are {low-key} obsessed with the year-round functionality of the rooftop. With a retractable glass roof and walls, this space can host your wedding any season of the year. Who could deny a winter white wedding with snowflakes falling on the patio or tying the knot amidst a romantic summer sunset? The Rooftop would not be complete without The Terrace on the floor below {complete with NYC views, handcrafted cocktails, and a self-playing piano}. Liberty Science Center {222 Jersey City Boulevard, Jersey City}

Creative hub by day and lavish wedding venue by night, the grounds of the Liberty Science Center are perfect for the couple looking for something out of the ordinary. The grounds alone are just stunning, with their backyard right on the harbor of Liberty State Park. CxRA, the onsite caterer at LSC offers a distinctive menu and all that goes beyond expectations.
