Here in Hoboken, we take our mozzarella cheese very seriously — so much so, that there’s an entire day dedicated to the finest “mutz” our little town has to offer. The 2022 Hoboken Mutzfest was rumored to be its last, but the event proved to be non-aging, just like its namesake. Hoboken Mutzfest is returning again for 2024 and will be held on Sunday, April 28th, under the 14th Street Viaduct. From 1PM-5PM, ticket-holding locals can expect a lot of cheese, local vendors, live music, food-eating contests, and more. All About Mutzfest
Mutzfest is organized by the Hoboken Family Alliance, one of the oldest Hoboken non-profits, and proceeds from the event will help fund its numerous local community initiatives. While in previous years it has been hosted both at indoor facilities and as a ‘crawl,’ this year, it will be located under the 14th Street Viaduct in Hoboken — the same location as 2023. The event will take place on Sunday, April 28th from 1PM-5PM.

Hoboken Mutzfest 2024 will be packed with lots of activities for the whole family. Attendees can expect to experience the usual — the cannoli-eating contest and Sinatra Sing-A-Long. There will also be live music, a beer + wine garden in partnership with Carpe Diem, and special guest appearances.
Proceeds from the event will fund the Hoboken Bike Camp for individuals with disabilities, as well as Hoboken Family Alliance and its numerous local community initiatives.
Hoboken Mutzfest is a chance for the community to come together over a shared NJ love: mozzarella cheese. A few years ago, Mutzfest said the 2022 festival might be the last hurrah, and the organizers promised that they would find other ways to keep the Mutz spirit and communal connection alive — but we are so excited it’s back for yet another year.
“We love the energy and community that Mutzfest has created,” Mutzfest revealed in a statement a few years ago.

Tickets for the event can be found here. General admission to this cheese-filled day is $50. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the event on the day of — first-come, first-serve. For 21+ visitors who are feeling extra special, there is also a $100 VIP option which gets you into Mutzfest at 12PM instead of 1PM and grants you access to an open bar.
