The News + Why We Love This Spot
According to Hoboken Hot Bagels’ website, the restaurant is still closed for renovations — but HG reader @casey2cook let us know of its reopening this morning with a photo of her bagel after visiting the spot. This news comes just a few days after we heard a new bagel spot was coming to Jersey City, called City Bagel & Deli.

Hoboken Hot Bagels is a local favorite for delicious bagels and sandwiches, as well as other breakfast and lunch items. The spot has been family owned and operated since 1983, and resides at 634 Washington Street in Hoboken. Calling itself “Hoboken’s Favorite Bagel Shop Since 1983” on the website, the restaurant is best known for its everything bagels — which are chock-full of sesame seeds, poppy seeds, garlic, onion, and salt. Other bagel varieties here include cinnamon raisin, garlic, pumpernickel, whole wheat, onion, and more. You can also get a variety of spreads and toppings on the bagels — from walnut raisin cream cheese to sliced nova. Pro tip: you can also buy any of the spreads by the container if you find one that you find yourself needing more of.

In addition to the bagels and rolls, Hoboken Hot Bagels also serves up breakfast sandwiches, deli sandwiches made with Boars Head meat, homemade soups, and desserts, as well as coffee and other beverages. The spot is open Monday through Saturday from 6AM-4PM, and Sunday from 6AM-3PM, with online ordering and delivery as an option.
