About Julie and Rob

Located in uptown Hoboken Julie and Rob moved into their current home in July of 2018. Rob had previously lived in Hoboken for four years and it did not take much convincing for Julie to fall in love with the Mile Square — so much so that the pair got married at St. Ann’s Church.

About Their Home

Julie has been working as an interior designer for a little over three years and loved being able to design her home. Upon entering the home, guests are greeted by so much sunshine that it’s impossible not to smile. Also, greeting visitors are many dainty, pretty elephant busts — as they’re Julie’s favorite animal.

As for the entire space itself, Julie and Rob are very lucky to be able to say they have their own private outdoor space which is approximately 300 square feet, complete with furniture and grill to enjoy all summer long.

The Renovation + Decorating

Before they began upgrading their space, the couple’s kitchen needed just a little TLC, so not much work had to be done here besides new hardware. The floors in the home were completely redone and all new paint was applied throughout the space.

Their extremely comfy couch is from Pottery Barn, the middle media console is Restoration Hardware, and the two side shelving units are from Battaglia when they had their huge closeout sale. Julie + Rob’s ottoman and pillows are from locale shop Luna Rosa, and throughout their home, you will find several art pieces from local artists. The painting above the sofa was purchased at the Hoboken Arts & Music Festival {representing the Mile Square one item at time}.

Now, onto the dining area. The two gorgeous photos on the wall are actually iPhone pictures that the couple took on a trip to Italy. Julie had them framed by @framebridge, where all users need to do is send in their photos photo, pick a size and the company frames it and mails it out to you.

The chandelier is from CB2 and is part of the Goop collection that Julie snagged at an awesome price. The dining table itself is from ABC Home and the chairs are from One Kings Lane.

The couple rang in spring with some beautiful cherry blossoms as decoration in their home. If you are lucky enough to have the counter space for your very own cherry blossom tree, we highly recommend it as a personal touch.

As for their two bathrooms within their home, the couple renovated both. The downstairs bathroom has been featured on Julie’s Instagram a lot, as it’s so IG-worthy. The floor is a three-inch Carrera marble, while the mirror and sconces are from Pottery Barn. The knobs are from another favorite, Anthropologie, and the fixtures are Kinder. The vanity is from KBC that Julie was able to get with her interior designer connections.

When guests go upstairs, they will see a beautiful photo collage of the couple’s relationship. When you get to the top there is an art piece by local artist @roigcollection that depicts the Hoboken PATH station. Beyond the stairwell, the upstairs bathroom is a white wonderland. It is complete with eastern white marble and Kinder fixtures.

Upstairs is a second bedroom and their master bedroom. In the master, you will a custom art piece that Julie made herself {she has a how-to on her Instagram}. The lamps are from HomeGoods and the bedding is from Luna Rosa. The shades are a custom fabric shipping all the way from Austria and create a cozy vibe within the space.
