Pilates lovers, listen up. Or, if you’re a total newbie, you should listen up, too {we’re talking a FREE intro class}. Club Pilates is uptown Hoboken’s newest fitness studio, and we recently checked it out. We’re sharing our experience with you below, but spoiler alert — we were V impressed with the friendly staff and adorable space. Read on to learn more about it:
First Impression
The studio is brand new and immaculate. There are grip socks for sale {similar to barre classes, they’re a must} and the punniest “Original Planksta” tees, we couldn’t help but feel welcomed into this fully-equipped and adorable workout space.
As with any workout studio, certain instructors are better {and harder} than others — so it’s always nerve-wracking not knowing what to expect in a workout but our instructor Malene made the environment feel comfortable yet challenging.
Location + Convenience
Uptown residents rejoice! Finally a studio right across the street from Hudson Tea {and Choc-o-Pain if you’re looking for some post-workout fuel}. Although around the corner from the bus station, this studio is nestled a block away from the busy Washington Street bustle located on 15th Street {1400 Hudson Street}.
Studio Amenities
Sadly, there are no locker rooms — but for many uptown residents, it’s just a short walk across the street. Amenities are not a deal breaker per se, but many other gyms in the area do have full amenities to get ready on-site.

Overall Experience
We left Club Pilates not only feeling stronger, but also stress-free. As a new studio, there’s always a learning curve to meet community needs and we look forward to embracing Club Pilates as part of our Mile Square.
