For those who love salads and sandwiches, they’ll say that wraps are the best of both worlds. Chicken Caesar wraps are classic but that doesn’t mean they all taste the same. We rounded up the best wraps in Hoboken + Jersey City to help plan your next lunch break. Keep reading to discover where to find the best chicken Caesar wraps in Hoboken + Jersey City.

Hoboken

Alessio’s | 538 Park Avenue, Hoboken + 99 Franklin Street, Jersey City

alessios cafe hoboken nj

It’s unsurprising that Alessio’s earned a spot on this list — after all, in just a few short years in Hoboken (and now Jersey City Heights), this cafe has garnered a loyal local following with its Italian sandwiches, pizzas, and salads. The chicken Caesar wrap at Alessio’s is smaller in size, but not in flavor — featuring creamy dressing, sizable shaved parm flakes, and romaine lettuce. There’s a chicken cutlet option, too, which we’ll always recommend.

Hobbs Inc

This Hoboken farmers market favorite continues to serve fresh salads in its brick-and-mortar locations. Any salad can be made into a wrap and the move here is to order the OG Cardini — named for Caesar Cardini who is said to have invented the Caesar salad. This wrap includes the Alfalfa mix (chopped romaine, butter lettuce, and shredded kale), free-range roasted chicken, grape tomatoes, homemade croutons, parmigiano, sliced almonds, and Caesar dairy-free dressing.

Benny Tudino’s | 622 Washington Street

Bennys pizza outside

Benny Tudino’s might be most famous for serving slices the size of newborn babies, but the rest of the menu is worth noticing, too. The chicken Caesar wrap may not be as big as the pizza, but it’s a tasty option and can be made on a white or whole wheat wrap.

Known for its all-day brunch, breakfast menu, pastries, coffee drinks, and more, Black Rail also serves up delicious pressed sandwiches and wraps. One of these options is a ‘Caesar’s Spliff’ — which includes seasoned chicken, spring mix, croutons, roasted red peppers, parmesan cheese + Black Rail’s special caesar’s dressing rolled in a wrap.

GTK | 1014 Washington Street

gtk hoboken nj

GTK is relatively new to the Hoboken food scene, but it’s been feeding the Hudson County area since 2019 when it operated as a ghost kitchen concept, formerly called Ghost Truck Kitchen. Now, with its own brick-and-mortar location, GTK is serving up a variety of eclectic bites (including a garlic grilled cheese), including, of course, a chicken Caesar wrap. This wrap does not come to play — the chicken is well-seasoned, the dressing is creamy, and the croutons add a perfect crunch. The menu distinguishes it as a “lunch wrap,” but we’d probably eat this Caesar at any time of day.

For a Caesar wrap with a seafood twist, try the shrimp Caesar wrap at Imposto’s Pizza. This wrap comes with crispy breaded shrimp, romaine, croutons, parmesan, and creamy Caesar dressing in a flour tortilla wrap.  Caesar traditionalists aren’t forgotten — the menu also includes a classic chicken Caesar wrap which comes with diner’s-choice of breaded or grilled chicken.

Luca Brasi’s Italian Deli | 100 Park Avenue

luca brasis

This authentic Italian deli has so many options to choose from — including a chicken Caesar wrap that is one of our favorites in the area. It’s served hot (which can be controversial to some), but that makes it even more delicious. The chicken is cut into small pieces, the dressing is more oil-based than creamy (which is why it tastes good warm), and there are croutons that get the perfect level of soggy with the dressing. HG Pro Tip: Get the rosemary and olive oil potato chips with your wrap, the two items pair perfectly.

With a name like ‘Mr. Wrap’s’ this spot has to serve a great chicken Caesar wrap. There are more than 30 different wraps on the menu — and guests can even create their own. The classic Caesar comes with grilled chicken breast, romaine lettuce, feta cheese, roasted red peppers, and creamy Caesar dressing in a flour tortilla.

With two locations in Hoboken, Mile Square locals never have to travel far for the garlic knots or Caesar wraps at Napoli’s. The chicken Caesar wrap comes with grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, Romano cheese, and homemade Caesar dressing and is served in a tomato wrap. Best of all, the wraps come with a side of fries which can be substituted for a side salad, potato salad, or homemade macaroni for a small charge.

Vito’s Deli | 806 Washington Street A

Vito’s serves up all kinds of delicious Italian sandwiches at its shop, including chicken Ceasar wraps. The one here is served cold and while there are no croutons in this wrap, the dressing and chicken make up for it.

Willie McBrides | 616 Grand Street

Willie McBrides

Live music, beer, free limo rides, and a Caesar wrap — Willie McBrides is an Irish pub that has it all. The crispy chicken Caesar wrap is made with shaved parmesan, bacon, romaine, and Caesar dressing and comes with a side of fries.

Jersey City

Amelia’s Bistro | 187 Warren Street

amelias jersey city

Amelia’s Bistro has been a Jersey City staple for almost two decades. The lunch and brunch menus include a chicken Caesar wrap that comes with Parmigiano-Reggiano, tomato, and creamy dressing and is served with French fries. On Monday through Friday11AM – 3PM, diners can also enjoy a mimosa, bellini, glass of champagne, or Bloody Mary for $5.

This NYC-famous spot is known for serving Southern-style dishes like pimento cheese, biscuits, and, of course, fried chicken. Bobwhite’s chicken Caesar comes with the restaurant’s iconic fried chicken plus romaine lettuce, croutons, and pecorino romano cheese that has all been tossed in Caesar dressing. Patrons can add a side like black-eyed peas, coleslaw, or French fries to make it a full meal.

Helen’s Pizza is a good option to get a wrap during a night out in downtown Jersey City. The menu features more than 10 options like a shrimp wrap, tuna club wrap, and veggie wrap. The chicken Caesar has grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, tomato, red onion, and Caesar dressing.

The House of Hot Chicken | 138 Newark Avenue

house of hot chicken jersey city

Equal parts mouth and eye-watering, The House of Hot Chicken recently debuted its spicy chicken Caesar wrap complete with fried chicken, croutons, and all the other usual suspects. A newer fried chicken joint inside the Oliva Market, House of Hot Chicken has six spice levels (spanning from plain/no heat to extra hot), which are available for the wrap too. We opted for medium heat, which was perfectly subtle: a little kick, but not at all a betrayal to the garlicky goodness of a traditional Caesar.

Sub Culture |  260 Newark Avenue

subculture jerseycity outside

Sub Culture may be a sandwich shop but there are six different wraps to pick from on the menu. These can be made with wheat, garlic, flour, spinach, or tomato wraps. For a chicken Caesar, order the cleverly named “Et Tu Brute” wrap which includes breaded or grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, grated Parmesan cheese, and croutons.

Wonder Bagel is a Jersey City classic but if you’ve never looked past the bagel selection you might not realize that the menu also features a chicken Caesar wrap. This iteration is made with grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese, and Caesar dressing and can be served on a honey wheat, jalapeno spinach, or white tortilla wrap.
