    Written by:

Sure, there are several fine-dining restaurants in Hoboken, but sometimes, you just want to enjoy good ol’ comfort food. Luckily for us in the Mile Square, we’ve got Mr. Wraps — and if you don’t already know, it offers so much more than wraps {however, they are pretty damn good and not something to pass up}. We’re giving you the run-down on this super casual dine-in and, more importantly, delivery gem — see what we love about Mr. Wraps:

    The History

Mr. Wraps has been at 741 Garden Street in Hoboken for 15 years {pretty awesome to see a local shop like this still doing great}. The eatery was first born in Cranford in 2000 and eventually opened a second location in Hoboken in 2003. While the Cranford location still stands, the original owners sold it, and only own the Hoboken location now.

    The Atmosphere

If you’re looking for casual {read: hungover, WFH day, don’t wanna get out of your jammies, etc.}, Mr. Wraps is the place to be. There isn’t an insane amount of seating inside {seats 12}, so if you want to dine in, maybe wait until the lunchtime rush is over — but other than that it’s not a crowded place since most people tend to pick-up or have their food delivered. It also has outdoor seating {also for 12} which is also convenient when the weather is nice.

If you are dining in, there are a few flat-screen TVs inside to keep you entertained, and the staff always has on some good stuff {usually sports or movies}. Speaking of the staff, they are great, too. Always super friendly and accommodating, including the delivery guys. Author’s note: I’ve had some pretty crazy requests with switching out an ingredient in a wrap, adding things, etc. and they never judged or made it an issue — much appreciated 😉

    The Menu

While Mr. Wraps name makes it pretty obvious what their specialty is, don’t be fooled. But if you are craving a wrap, definitely get one — they are huge, there are so many choices, and they are GOOD. Mr. Wraps can also satisfy any burger, sandwich, salad, or must-have junk food craving {like jalapeno poppers, mozzarella sticks, mac + cheese, and more}. There is also an impressive selection of chips {limited edition chips, too} and a variety of drinks to go with your meal.

Mr. Wraps serves breakfast, too, and are whipping up classics like pancakes, french toast, home fries, breakfast sammies, and more. And yes, breakfast can be delivered, too — this comes in clutch on the weekends.

    Easy Pickup + Delivery

If you’d rather pick up your meal or have it delivered, Mr. Wraps makes it easy to do both. Their delivery, in our opinion, is one of the best in town as they are always on time, food is always hot, and the delivery staff is always so friendly. Mr. Wraps is also great with updating customers of any weather-related delayed openings, etc. If you’re a fan, definitely check out their Instagram, they are always active {and always posting drool-worthy pics of their food}.

    The Verdict

If you’re looking for some casual {but homemade and absolutely delicious} food — stop by Mr. Wraps or have it delivered and enjoy it on the couch. Not only is the food delicious and the ingredients fresh, but the staff is wonderful. In today’s time of one mom-and-pop shop closing after the other, it’s definitely important to support your local businesses and this is one to add to your list.
