After many celebrations being canceled or postponed due to the ongoing pandemic, the local 4th of July fireworks will be seen in Jersey City and New York City. Read on for a list of places in Jersey City where you can watch the fireworks display.
The annual Jersey City Fireworks
After being canceled last year due to the pandemic, New Jersey’s largest fireworks display on the Hudson River waterfront is happening once again this Fourth of July in Jersey City.
At 9:30PM on Sunday, July 4, Grucci’s fireworks will launch from two barges in the Hudson River, painting the sky with an unparalleled backdrop of the Manhattan skyline. Spectators can watch the fireworks show along the Hudson River Walkway, from the north field at Liberty State Park, and most overlook areas in The Heights.

The 45th annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks in NYC
The annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks will be in a celebration of America’s heroes. There will be more than 65,000 shells and effects from five barges positioned on the East River centered in midtown. Public viewing locations will be set up and managed by the NYPD. Viewing will be available for verified, fully vaccinated spectators on elevated portions of the FDR Drive in Manhattan with entry points at East 23rd, East 34th, and East 42nd Streets.
The NYC fireworks may be visible from Pier A or Pier C in Hoboken.
