Cheering on your favorite band, dancing the night away, or just listening to mood music in the background — whatever your musical preference is, Hudson County’s got it covered. Here’s a list of live music happening during the month of June {2018} in Hoboken + Jersey City:

June 1 — The Slackers at White Eagle Hall {Jersey City}

With over 1,100 shows under their belt, this band is doing anything but slacking. They have worked their way up from rehearsing in a dingy Manhattan basement to releasing multiple studio albums. They are joining us in Jersey City to share their distinct sound complete with Jamaican and 50s American influences. The show begins at 9:00PM with doors opening at 8:00PM.

June 2 — Out of Bounds at White Eagle Hall {Jersey City}

Join the Jersey City Theatre Company for a night of high-caliber dance numbers to take your breath away. Curated by Jersey City Resident, Megan Wood, the show promises to be one of the best dance showcases our area has seen. Tickets are $15-$20 and doors open at 7:30PM for the 8:00PM show.

June 7 — Gene and D. Plumbers with Emily and the Ideals at Sinatra Park {Hoboken}

A truly eclectic sound is what you will hear at this show. A combination of American Soul, music in Spanish, vintage rock and so much more you will be sure to jam out with friends and family. The show will be held at the Amphitheatre at Sinatra Park in Hoboken {Sinatra Drive between 4th and 5th} and begins at 7:00PM.

June 9th  — Riverview Jazz Closing Festival

Celebrate the last day of the Riverview Jazz Festival with food trucks, vendors, two stages, and a bunch of performers. The event will take place at Riverview-Fisk park in Jersey City. More info here.

June 12 — Ani DiFranco at White Eagle Hall {Jersey City}

A true one-woman show, Ani DeFranco does it all. Poet, Guitarist, singer and songwriter, she knows how to incorporate all of her talents for an entertaining show. The show starts at 8:00PM and the doors will open at 7:00PM.

June 14 — Real Estate at White Eagle Hall {Jersey City}

Known for their genuine and raw emotion, Real Estate will be bringing just that to the stage. They are fresh off of their fourth full-length album, In Mind, and will be performing songs with their new, yet familiar sound. Doors open at 8:00PM for the 9:00PM show.

June 14 — Sinatra Idol Contest at Sinatra Park {Hoboken}

Check out your talented neighbors or show off your skills at Hoboken’s very own Sinatra Idol Contest. This is not your average karaoke night as 15 contestants will compete to see who has the best Sinatra style and voice. The show will be held at the Amphitheatre at Sinatra Park {Sinatra Drive between 4th and 5th} and begins at 6:30PM.

June 16 — Kurt Vile and The Violators at White Eagle Hall {Jersey City}

Philadelphia native singer and producer, Kurt Vile and The Violators are making the trip North to share their talent. Doors will open at 7:00PM for the 8:00PM show.

June 19 — Aimee Mann at White Eagle Hall {Jersey City}

After five years, Aimee Mann is back with her latest studio album, Mental Illness. The Oscar nominee and Grammy Winner’s new album is nearly all acoustic and she is ready to share it with the world. Doors open at 7:00PM and the show will begin at 8:00PM.

June 20 — Superchunk at White Eagle Hall {Jersey City}

This band has been performing together for over three decades. Their songs are filled with emotion that will bring you from pain to triumph. Check them out at White Eagle Hall for a 9:00PM show. Doors will open at 8:00PM.

June 21 — Hey Bullgod: Beatles Tribute at Sinatra Park {Hoboken}

Relive the 70s with NJ’s favorite Beatles Cover Band. Enjoy the summer weather with an outdoor concert at Sinatra park while tapping your toes to classic jams. The show will be held at the Amphitheatre at Sinatra Park and beings at 7:00PM.

June 22 — Nick Lowe’s Quality Rock & Roll Revue featuring Los Straightjackets at White Eagle Hall {Jersey City}

Nick Lowe is back for more with the “second act” of his career. After a life-long career in the music industry as a producer, pop star, songwriter and musician, Nick Lowe is hitting the stage with guitar instrumentalists Los Straightjackets for an innovative performance like no other. The show beings at 8:30PM and doors will open one hour prior.

June 25 — UP10TION at White Eagle Hall {Jersey City}

Get ready to dance because KPop sensation UP10TION is coming to Jersey City! After multiple mini-albums and singles, they are debuting their full-length album. Go to White Eagle Hall’s site for more information on VIP Ticket packages. The show will begin at 8:00PM.

June 28 — New Jersey Symphony Orchestra at Maxwell Park {Hoboken}

Grab your favorite blanket and snacks for a night of Broadway tunes under the stars. The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra is headed to Hoboken to show off their exquisite sound. Listen closely and you might hear hits from your childhood favorites like ET and Star Wars.

Enjoy live music and your favorite bar eats every Monday and Wednesday at this local pub.

The Turtle Club {936 Park Avenue, Hoboken}

You can catch live music here on Thursdays as well while sipping on wine {bottles are 25% off on Thursdays}. Then, keep the party going through the whole weekend with beats by DJ Ralph Monte on Fridays at 10:00PM and a rotation of live DJs every Saturday starting at 10:00PM as well.
