It’s almost fall in New Jersey — but Hudson County is still celebrating the few weeks of summer we have left until it’s back-to-school season. This week’s local Hoboken + Jersey City events guide has everyone covered with a birthday celebration at Six26, a concert at Sinatra Park, a comedy club at Corgi Spirits, and more. Below is the list of Hoboken + Jersey City events happening this weekend, August 18th – August 21st.

Wine Mixer Event at Alba Vineyard

Alba Vineyard, located at 269 Riegelsville Warren Glen Road in Milford, is a small family farm that sustainably grows premium grapes, crafting them into exceptional wines. The vineyard is open daily and has seasonal specials and live music Fridays through Sundays. The vineyard is hosting a wine mixer event on Saturday, August 27th from 3:00PM-7:00PM with wine pairings and small bites prepared by Chef Anthony of Trattoria Di Fiore, music by local singer and songwriter Ayva Behm, and beautiful views of the estate vineyard and river valley. General admission for the event is $70 per person and $50 per person for Gold Club members. Walk-ins for the wine-mixer event are welcome. The Laugh Tour at Dorrian’s Red Hand

Saturday, August 20th at 6:30PM and 8:30PM | BUY TICKETS

Dorrian’s Red Hand, located at 555 Washington Boulevard in Jersey City, is hosting two comedy shows on Saturday, August 20th at 6:30PM and 8:30PM. The Laugh Tour is hosted by comedian Rich Kiamco and will feature Christiana Jackson from Cash Cab, Joe Mahoney from Adult Swim, Amber Chandler from West End Comedy Festival, and Kyle Wayne from Broadway Comedy Club. Show tickets purchased online in advance of the show are $15 and are $20 day of and at the door with a 2 item minimum per person. Additional shows with other comedians will take place every Saturday night. (Please note, doors to exterior are ajar for ventilation and these indoor comedy events still require proof of vaccination with ID). Venue and restrooms are wheelchair accessible.

True Mentors is Hoboken’s only one-to-one mentor program. The program matches children ages 7-17 with trained mentors. Volunteers are needed to serve as mentors and can sign up to be trained.
