It’s going to be another warm weekend in Hudson County and the area is full of fun happenings to try. Dwight-Englewood School, located at 315 E Palisade Ave in Englewood, is an independent day school for students in Preschool (age 3) through Grade 12 — with three divisions of schools including the Lower, Middle, and Upper schools. The Laugh Tour at Dorrian’s Red Hand

Dorrian’s Red Hand, located at 555 Washington Boulevard in Jersey City, is hosting two comedy shows on Saturday, August 13th at 6:30PM and 8:30PM. The Laugh Tour is hosted by comedian Rich Kiamco and will feature Rob Christensen from Comedy Central, Irene Bremis from John Fugelsang, Drexton Clemons from Buzzfeed, and Cynthia Levin from Comics Unleashed. Show tickets purchased online in advance of the show are $15 and are $20 day of and at the door with a 2 item minimum per person. Additional shows with other comedians will take place every Saturday night. (Please note, doors to exterior are ajar for ventilation and these indoor comedy events still require proof of vaccination with ID). Venue and restrooms are wheelchair accessible.

The Boys + Girls Clubs of Hudson County was founded in 1893 to create a positive place for the youth of Jersey City, NJ. Hope House | Jersey City

Hope House, an emergency shelter for mothers who are homeless, helps families become self-sufficient by giving them an opportunity for decision-making + for assuming responsibility for improving their situation under the supervision, support, + guidance of shelter staff. Housing up to 20 mothers and their children, the program offers short-term supervised residence, including three meals a day, assessment/planning, case management, housing, education, food, + clothing. To make a secure online donation, click here.
