There are a lot of ways to support our local businesses in this crazy time, and many of us are missing our favorite spots around Hudson County. The good news is, however, that a lot of local spots are offering some great at-home kits so you can have a little part of your favorite spot while you stay safe at home. This way, you don’t have to miss out on all Hoboken has to offer while you self-quarantine, and you can bring a little bit of fun into your new quarantine routine. Check out our list of local spots offering at-home kits below:  

alba Boutique/aXd {716 Washington Street, Hoboken}

Alba and their sister store aXd are out to prove that quarantine doesn’t mean sacrificing style. They’re offering up an alba Stylebox and virtual styling session with Jeanna so that you can perfect your quarantine-chic look and take it back out into the streets when #socialdistancing measures are lifted.

ArteVino Studio {720 Monroe Street, Hoboken}

Local art studio ArteVino wants to make sure you can keep painting while staying safe. Grab a glass of wine and one of their Create from Home Kits to follow along with an instructor at various times of the month and create your own masterpiece. 

Baking Mama {88 Hudson Street, Hoboken} 

Local favorite Baking Mama is giving you a peek into her own kitchen by offering recipes online, many of which accommodate allergies and food intolerances. Happy baking!

Benny Tudino’s {622 Washington Street, Hoboken}

This Washington Street pizza joint is one of the most famous sports in the state of New Jersey, known for its extra-large slices. If you want to try your hand at making a famous Benny’s slice at home, grab one of their make your own pizza kits with dough, sauce, cheese, and additional toppings by request.

Firehouse Blazing Pizza{488 Central Avenue, Jersey City} 

Another Hoboken pizza spot wants you to make sure you get your fix while in quarantine. Firehouse Blazing Pizza has a Make Your Own Pizza Kit, which includes everything to make two pies. 

Gaia’s Cavern {140 Wayne Street, Jersey City}

This Jersey City spa is offering consultations with clients about there skin concerns and a customized 5-8 step system depending on if that want it pretty basic or more complex. Step by step instructions are given and a  few usages to have a result-driven facial at home.

The kits start at $55 and go up based on adding more steps like extra mask options, stimulants etc.
There’s also an option to add loose teas, homemade soap, and a homemade soy candle for air cleaning.
There is no contact pick up outside the spa’s door.

Every Saturday at 5:00PM, Laylow has a virtual cocktail class, where they’ll be sharing recipes and their favorite tips and tricks virtually, followed by an extensive happy hour party on Zoom. Tickets are $10 each, and all proceeds go to supporting the bar staff.
