Cafe Archetrypus is not the place for a nice, early-morning cappuccino. This place opens at 6PM daily (12PM on the weekends) but serves drinks, including cappuccinos, and other small plates. The outside is hard to miss, and the inside gives diners a cave-like experience. Guests are asked to silence phones and keep light to a minimum as not to disrupt others enjoying the space.

For those who call Hudson County home, what can be better than a restaurant that serves both pizza and coffee drinks? Caffe Maria is a one-stop shop to order a cappuccino, as well as a pizza (or the meatball sandwich). Check their website for the latest, as they often have great deals for their customers.

Chocolate-filled croissants and cappuccinos go together well, especially on a crisp day. The owner Clémence Danko, a French native, began her culinary career after searching for a good croissant or baguette and not finding one in the area. There are a few different size options and guests can get a regular or decaf cappuccino. There are also a few seasonal menu items. HG pro tip: try the Gianduja Double Chocolate Chocopain.

Las Chicas Bakery and Cafe serve up some delicious drinks and dishes, including a cappuccino. Guests can even add a shot of vanilla, hazelnut, or caramel to their beverages. This cafe has three locations — Union City, Gutenberg, and North Bergen.

KTB Coffee Shop also has a location in North Arlington, New Jersey. Visitors will enjoy the vibe and stay for the cuisine.

At Prato, the goal is to “bring the Italian and Tuscan authentic baking tradition to the U.S.” The owner Simone definitely achieves this, as even the most skeptical Italians agree that their dishes and drinks are top-notch. Visit Semicolon for delicious cappuccinos, tasty pastries, and breakfast sandwiches. Customers can expect a strong cappuccino, which can be enjoyed in the plant-filled ambiance of the cafe. Upstairs they even have a new plant store which just opened this season. And speaking of, they also serve great seasonal drinks — including a peppermint mocha coffee-based beverage and a hot chocolate that will warm you right up.

Short Grain is an adorable cafe right in the heart of downtown Jersey City. Located just next to City Hall, it’s the perfect stop while exploring the city. This place makes delicious drinks of every variety, including a great cappuccino. They also make great matcha beverages. Come hungry, because Short Grain also serves up delicious sandwiches, small plates, and various bowls, among other items.
