Artevino Studio is a cozy art studio filled with workshops, events, and activities for kids and adults of all ages. Classes and events include virtual painting classes, corporate events, date night events, birthday events and classes for kids, and BYOB art classes. The BYOB art class can host large or small groups throughout the day or at night. The host provides snacks and drinks, but the studio handles the rest by providing art supplies.

Barbershop Comedy Show started in New York but quickly expanded to other states due to its popularity. The comedy show has a regular spot in Hoboken showcasing live comedy shows and events at the D+V Barbershop. The popular BYOB event happens a few times each month as each date tends to sell out fast. The event listing is always posted through its website and other events during that month. 

Galastella Studio | 1012 Grand Street #407

This new sewing studio has a stunning space just north of Columbus Park, where sunlight penetrates the massive windows. Owned and operated by artisanal maker Gala Zakharova, the studio hosts BYOB sewing and craft classes on the regular. You can read all about the studio here

Hudson Table | 1403 Clinton Street

Hudson Table is a gorgeous cooking studio with many cooking classes, each taught by a different chef. All the classes are considered BYOB unless stated otherwise when booking. Kids’ cooking classes are also offered, which include tons of sweet treats and other easy-to-make dishes. Each event and class can be inquired about through its website. 

Ivy Mane Studio | 1012 Grand Street

While this studio primarily sells handcrafted goods for the home, Ivy Mane Studio also hosts creative “Sip and Pour” workshops for those interested in unlocking their creative sides. Upcoming classes include a Drip Planter workshop, Paint Your Own Pup workshop, and Essentials Vanity Set workshop. The space is available to rent out for private parties and events, too. NYC Cycle Boats is a great way to gather friends and family and enjoy a relaxing boat ride across the river. Each ride for the event or group is BYOB, and the boat rental includes coolers, cups, and a sound system. The host should provide snacks and drinks. The regular boat ride lasts an hour and thirty minutes, though its new tiki boat has rides for over an hour for larger groups. Reservations and boat bookings can be made through its website.

Play! Hoboken | 1012 Grand Street

Play! Hoboken has many activities, games, and weekly events for kids of all ages and adults. Board game nights, chess nights, pool, ping pong, golf simulator, and esports are just a few of the activities in the space. The weekends and evenings are usually busy; reservations are not required for activities but are recommended for larger groups. Events, parties, and activities are BYOB with no fee attached. There is also a small menu with pizza, wings, french fries, and pretzels. Drinks are from the fountain, along with coffee and tea. Parties, event bookings, and reservations can be made through the website.

Shalimar Luis Studio is a small modern art gallery that displays paintings of the streets of Puerto Rico and abstract pastel drawings by Hoboken artist Shalimar Luis. In addition to the artwork on display, the space is also used for events like wine, beer, and spirit tastings, birthday parties, BYOB art classes and workshops, and a draw-and-sip class. All bookings for workshops, events, and classes can be made through the website.

Tipsy Tie Dye is a one-stop shop for all things tie dye, including parties and special events which are all BYOB. Open events are hosted throughout the week with specific time slots. Walk-ins are available during the open events, and food and drinks are allowed during those sessions. Tickets for all events and classes can be purchased through the website. Private events and parties are booked through the website and are best for larger groups. Alcohol restrictions are only wine, beer, and liquor.

Jersey City Archery has a relaxing and welcoming vibe in all the classes and events hosted in the space. With a few levels of experience, such as beginners and intermediate, everyone is trained by the instructors regardless of event or class and is supervised. Kids classes, birthday parties, and Sunday tournaments also happen throughout the month. Events held are BYOB, but classes are not. Inquiries about the BYOB policy can be sent through the website.

Luna De Papel | 321 Communipaw Avenue

Luna De Papel is a cute, whimsical studio fit for all things craft, art classes, and birthday parties for kids. Though some classes and events are tailored to kids, there are other classes and events for adults, such as the craft and sip event, which is two hours of creating a handmade craft. There are many crafts to choose from, as no one is restricted to the same thing. The event is BYOB, and the studio provides light snacks for the group. Bookings can be made through its website.

There is no corking fee for the events or classes, and alcohol is restricted to wine, beer, hard seltzer, and wine coolers.
