Located in the Stingray Lounge, this “secret tea room” is a limited-time experience for local tea-lovers in the area. The Bombay Tea Room will be a collaboration with local food blogger Manasi and will feature “traditional afternoon tea” with “a whirl of spices and flavors.” The Bombay Tea Room will be at Stingray Lounge on Saturday, June 11 at 11am.

Empire Coffee and Tea Company | 338 Bloomfield Street, Hoboken

With multiple locations across the region, Empire Coffee and Tea Company has many teas, coffee, specialty drinks, and seasonal beverages to choose from. The tea is loose-leaf, and customers can also buy their favorites by the bag. While not tea-specific, it’s important to know that the coffee is roasted weekly at the Empire Coffee Factory in the Catskill Mountains.

Holsome Tea & Herbs | 27 Witherspoon Street, Rear, Princeton

This Princeton staple has “a wide variety of teas, herbal remedies and vitamins,” according to its website. If customers don’t have the right teapots, the right ones are available here. Founder Paul Shu opened his store in 1996 with the aim to help and educate people about teas and herbal supplements and remedies. Customers can stop into the store for advice from employees, or visit the website for all the tea on tea.

Ma’s Tea House | 73 Broadway, Elmwood Park

This family-owned bubble tea shop has milk tea and fruit tea options, as well as plant-based smoothies in various flavors. It also has non-dairy YAKULT, yogurt gut health probiotic drinks. In case customers don’t want to head to the storefront, they can also order online for pickup or delivery.

Nai The Tea Lady has black, oolong, green, white, and herbal tea collections to choose from, as well as two locations in Livingston and Rockaway. Patrons can also create custom gift baskets with an assortment of teas from the shop. The best part is if you don’t want to go to the actual store, you can order it online. This store also has beautiful sets of cups and tea sets for purchase.

Sally Lunn’s Tea Room and Restaurant | 15 Perry Street, Chester

If you’re looking for authentic British tea and fare, look no further than Sally Lunn’s. Tucked away off of Main Street in Chester, this tea room and restaurant has a great tea selection with classic British menu items including pasties, sausage rolls, and Sally’s Fabulous Chicken Pot Pie. There are over 50 flavors of tea to choose from so it’s a great opportunity to find a new favorite. It’s an added plus that the decor is just so cute.

Sinofilia Tea Shop | 805 Main Street, Boonton

This authentic Chinese tea experience is more than just a tea shop. Patrons can also reserve a spot for the spiritual practice of a tea ceremony in the spirit and tradition of Cha Dao ‘the way of tea.’ Sinofila also has an online shop.

Teaberry’s Tea Room | 2 Main Street, Flemington

Teaberry’s Tea Room is more than just a tea shop, it’s a piece of history. The Victorian house where this tea room calls home was built in 1822 and has seating for 100 customers in all of the rooms inside. It serves a full lunch and afternoon tea Thursday through Monday.

Trend Coffee and Tea house is located in the heart of Montclair inside the oldest house built in the town, built in 1860. This restaurant and tea house has a long list of crepes and Italian desserts to choose from, in addition to various signature drinks and teas. Check the website for a soon-to-launch online shop with various gifts, gourmet noshes, and homemade cakes.
