There are two types of people when fall comes around: those who enjoy pumpkin-flavored treats, and those who hate the taste of happiness (that’s a joke, promise). We, of course, are the former — and with Pumpkin Spice Latte season in full swing, it’s time to round up some festive fall drinks available locally. Read on for where to find Pumpkin Spice Lattes in Hoboken, as well as other festive fall sips.
Bean Vault Co. | 1 Newark Street
Bean Vault takes a page from the Eminem playbook with its “The Real PSL.” What makes Bean Vault’s pumpkin spice latte the real PSL? Well, it might have something to do with another menu item. Little ones and caffeine-free friends can join in on the fun with the Hot Cocoa PSL, a variant of the drink that swaps espresso beans for cocoa powder.
Non-pumpkin beverages: Vanilla Amaretto Spice, Caramel Apple Cider, Brown Sugar Chai

Black Rail Coffee | 800 Jackson Street
Black Rail Coffee’s Pumpkin Pie Latte is a worthy alternative to the original PSL, and it’s made with real pumpkin. It’s sweet, strong, and tastes like, well, autumn in a cup. It totally hits the morning coffee craving or that 3PM craving for a sweet pick-me-up.
bwè kafe | 1002 Washington Street + 1401 Adams Street
Even pumpkin spice skeptics and naysayers will find bwè kafe’s version up to snuff. The seasonal Fall Spice Latte is an understated blend of pumpkin, maple, and ginger spices that puts espresso at the forefront, while still calling to mind all those fall vibes. It can be served hot or iced.
Non-pumpkin beverages: Apple Pie Cold Brew Latte, made with housemade apple pie syrup, dark roast cold brew, and milk of choice served over ice.
Empire Coffee + Tea Co. | 338 Bloomfield Street
Any committed coffee drinker knows it’s an expensive hobby — but luckily, at-home coffee doesn’t mean sacrificing the quality of what’s in your cup. Empire Coffee + Tea Co. sells ground pumpkin coffee by the pound. The pumpkin spice blend runs $11.99 a pound, and the Halloween Blend, which contains a quarter pound mixed in of the pumpkin, is $15.99. At-home baristas can get ready to start each day with the smell of autumn wafting from the kitchen.
Gregorys Coffee | 111 River Street

All of the Gregorys Coffee locations in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Washington D.C. — including the Hoboken location — are serving up ‘The Jolly Jack-O’ for the fall. The drink is a pumpkin chai spiced latte based on a VeeFriends character (an entertainment company that partnered with Gregorys on the drink).
Hidden Grounds | 79 Hudson Street + 700 Garden Street

Leave it to Hidden Grounds to add a little bit of coffee art to its Pumpkin Spice Latte. The hot PSL comes with a cream Jack-O-Lantern etched on the top. It’s almost too cute to drink, but the first sip proves otherwise pretty quickly. The latte can also be served iced (sans Jack-O-Lantern, sadly), and there’s a pumpkin cold brew option for anyone not into lattes.
The Hive | 1000 Park Avenue
The Hive is no stranger to seasonal drinks — we’re big fans of the summer specials — but fall is perhaps where this local coffee shop + social hub shines. In addition to its highly coveted, weekend-only cinnamon buns (which last year had a pumpkin variant) The Hive has five fall drinks to get anyone feeling like a Gilmore Girl. Since we’re talking pumpkin, here’s what to order: The Basic PSL (espresso, spiced pumpkin sauce, choice of milk, served hot or iced) or Pumpkin Brew (vanilla cold brew topped with pumpkin cold foam).
Non-Pumpkin Beverages: Green Apple Matcha (matcha, apple + brown sugar cinnamon syrups, choice of milk, served hot or iced); The Maple Staple (iced salted caramel latte or cold brew base, topped with maple cold foam); Cozy Chai (chai, brown sugar cinnamon syrup, choice of milk, served hot or iced).
Joey No Nuts | 638 Willow Avenue

Hoboken’s only nut-free coffee shop has traditional PSLs, but the Pumpkin Chip Latte is a local favorite. This drink is a blend of pumpkin spice and chocolate sauce, and if that sounds like an entire meal, you’re right. Joey No Nuts’ PCL is inspired by its already-popular homemade pumpkin chip muffin.
Mojo Coffee Company | 230 Willow Avenue + 801 Bloomfield Street
The cups at Mojo don the phrase “OK, but first coffee,” and while that’s applicable pretty much all the time, it’s especially true on a crisp fall morning. In these cute cups, caffeine fiends have their choice of a Pumpkin Pie Cold Brew or a Pumpkin Pie Latte. Simple, maybe, but staples nonetheless — and the syrup used at Mojo adds that crucial pumpkin flavor without totally overriding the coffee.
Non-Pumpkin Beverages: Cinnamon Swirl Latte, Candy Corn Latte, and Hot Apple Cider.

The Roost Outpost | 55 1st Street
The seasonal menu at The Roost Outpost doesn’t formally include a pumpkin beverage, but pumpkin syrup can be added upon request — and it’s delicious. We recently stopped by for a PSL and the hybrid cafe/retailer has the ambiance of our dreams for a fall WFH day.
Non-pumpkin beverages: Hot Cider, Cider Chai, Hot Cider
As always, omissions from this list aren’t intentional — if you know of any other spots serving up pumpkin-flavored drins for fall, email us at hello@hobokengirl.com for potential inclusion.
