On any given day, if you look at the @thehobokengirl Instagram DMs, you’ll find about 5-10 spottings by our readers of the Wedding Crashers star Vince Vaughn inside. The actor has been spotted from uptown to downtown Hoboken and everywhere in between in the Mile Square — sometimes with friends (ah-hem, Joe Manganiello and Susan Sarandon, we’re talking about you).

He’s been spotted eating pizza at Basile’s, taking a casual yoga class at YogaRenew in downtown Hoboken, eating dinner at Sorellina and Antique Bar and Bakery, and of course — filming at Judicke’s Bakery in Bayonne.

So, why is Vince Vaughn in Hoboken so much?

TLDR: He’s filming a new independent film in Bayonne.

Harborside Sport + Spine

Sources close to his latest film project shared with The Hoboken Girl that he’s in town for a bit to film a movie called ‘Nonna’s’ — which is set at a restaurant in Staten Island, but being filmed primarily in Bayonne, NJ — so it will have a “Hudson County feel.”

Hobbs Inc

Both Vince Vaughan and Drea de Matteo of Sopranos were seen on set on East 14th Street in Bayonne over the last few weeks.

About the Film

The film, according to SILive, is about a man who struggles to open what would be a well-known Italian restaurant in Staten Island, with grandmother chefs.

The official website of the city of Bayonne also confirmed the filming on its website.

AXIS School of Dance

The star is staying in Hoboken for the time being.

A Laundry List of Celebs This Month

There have been numerous other celebrity spottings throughout Hoboken and Jersey City over the last few weeks — including Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni, and more. See our full recap here.

A Friendly Reminder from Our Team

While we’re not in the business of celebrity stalking (though we’re giving Deux Moi a run for her money lately) — please make sure you’re being respectful, as it’s never fun to be interrupted at all hours of the day — we can only imagine that life. Still, it is fun to learn more about what Vince has been up to and how much celebrities are loving our lil Mile Square.

XOXO
