All The Celebrities Spotted in Hoboken This Month

Here at The Hoboken Girl, we’ve always been quick to share when celebs stop by our little corner of the country. Being just a hop + a skip away from NYC (and having that small-town charm it just can’t compete with, we say unbiasedly), it’s unsurprising that Hollywood actors have passed through town — or even live here — but the past month has welcomed more celebrities than previous years have… ever. Celebrities that graced our presence in the Mile Square area recently have included Blake Lively, Susan Sarandon, Vince Vaughn, and just this past week, Lisa Rinna formerly of RHOBH, to name a few. In the spirit of Hoboken being in its Hollywood era (and us in our DeuxMoi era), we’ve rounded up all the notable people seen in Hoboken + Jersey City this past month. Keep reading for a complete list of celebrities that have visited Hoboken + Jersey City in May 2023.

Spotted: Serena Van Der Woodsen swapping the Upper East Side for The Mile Square City. Blake Lively joined co-star Justin Baldoni on the set of It Ends With Us, the upcoming film based on Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel. Will S make the permanent move + become a Jersey girl? Probably not, but we’ll keep dreaming.

Just like his co-star, Justin Baldoni (known to most as Rafael Salono from Jane the Virgin) was spotted on 10th + Bloomfield Streets for his latest project — but unlike Blake, Justin has taken up residency in Jersey City, and has been seen enjoying many local faves including bwè kafe, where he gave a talk about his recent book.

Colleen Hoover

The mastermind behind it all, best-selling author Colleen Hoover has been in Hoboken for the It Ends With Us shoot — and her time has been well spent. Per her Instagram, she enjoyed a night at the W Hotel and, in true litterateur fashion, paid a visit to Hoboken’s own Little City Books. She even signed a few copies of her books.

Lisa Rinna

The Real Housewives of New Jersey famously love Hoboken, but it’s not very often (if at all) that a former Beverly Hills Housewife ventures out of the 90210 and into our city. Lisa Rinna posted a video of undeniably Hoboken views on her Instagram story with the caption “My home for a bit…”

It’s unclear to us what Lisa has up her sleeve, but the Gen-Z writing this hopes it has something to do with her role in Big Time Rush (it won’t).

Linda Cardellini

Team HG’s very own Jordan + Joelle posed with Dead to Me star Linda Cardellini outside of Lululemon on Washington Street — Linda held their pup, Chica, for the pic, who was a class act during the encounter.

Vince Vaughn

While there have been no reports of crashed weddings (yet), Vince Vaughn has been seen living the true Hoboken foodie experience — from pizza at Basile’s to dinners at Antique and Sorellina. Vince, if you’re reading this, we hope you ordered the bread pudding.

Joe Manganiello + His Dog Bubbles

Joe Manganiello is not a first-timer here in Hoboken, nor is his precious pup, Bubbles, whom he is never without (we understand). Vince Vaughn has oft been spotted third-wheeling Joe + Bubbles at local hotspots like Augustino’s and Sorellina.

Susan Sarandon

Queen of the silver screen Susan Sarandon enjoyed a meal at Sorellina with her pals Vince and Joe.

The When Harry Met Sally star was spotted in Pier-A filming an upcoming Netflix project that, unfortunately, is not a spin-off taking place in Hoboken.

Doctor Strange himself was seen filming in Jersey City for an upcoming Netflix series called Eric — and while the series has no relation to the MCU, things definitely got strange: businesses throughout town donned false signage + old-timey props. read more people button
