Thursday, May 29th — Celebrate CASA 2025 at Battello | 502 Washington Boulevard, Jersey City
The non-profit organization Court Appointed Special Advocates, known as CASA, will host a fundraiser event on Thursday, May 29th, from 6:30PM to 10:30PM at Battello in Jersey City. This event will support Hudson County children in foster care. Attendees can expect food, handcrafted cocktails, a silent auction, and music, “all while making a meaningful impact in the lives of CASA children,” as per its website.

Sunday, June 1st — Petco Love Adoption Event at Union Square Park | 201 Park Avenue South, New York
See Spot Rescued is hosting its Petco Love Adoption Event at Union Square Park in NYC. This is an adoption and foster event for dogs in need of temporary and permanent homes. Guests are invited to learn more about fostering to see if it’s a good fit and to see if See Spot Rescued has a pet that fits their permanent lifestyle. Tuesday, June 24th, Tuesday, July 22nd, + Tuesday, August 26th — Personal Care Pantry Distribution at Hoboken Community Center | 1301 Washington Street, Hoboken
One Tuesday a month, the Hoboken Community Center distributes non-food items like diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, hygiene items, adult diapers, menstrual supplies, and more to those in need. Friday, June 20th — Whole Spectrum Autism’s 10th Annual Autism Acceptance Gala 2025 at Liberty House | 76 Audrey Zapp Drive, Jersey City
Whole Spectrum Autism, a non-profit organization promoting Autism acceptance, will host its 10th Annual Gala on June 20th from 6PM to 11PM at Liberty House in Jersey City. The event will feature entertainment, dancing, dining, and storytelling from those in the autism community. Learn more here.
Thursday, June 26th — The Waterfront Project’s Justice for All Gala 2025: There’s No Place Like Home at Maritime Parc | 84 Audrey Zapp Drive, Jersey City
The Waterfront Project, Inc.’s annual fundraiser, the Justice for All Gala, returns on June 26th from 6PM to 9PM with the theme “There’s No Place Like Home.” There will be cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live music, a silent auction, and storytelling for attendees to enjoy. See more here.
Tuesday, July 8th — Party With Purpose 5k, Kids Fun Run + Post Race Party at Pier A Park |
Party With Purpose will host a 5k, kids’ fun run, and post-race party this July on Pier A. This event supports local youth charities like the Boys and Girls Club of Hudson County, HOPES, Mile Square Theatre, and Community Lifestyle. Wednesday, August 13th — Family Promise of Hudson County’s 3rd Annual Mark the Moment: The Promise Awards at Grace Van Vorst Church | 39 Erie Street, Jersey City
Family Promise’s 3rd Annual Mark the Moment: The Promise Awards, is a celebratory fundraiser cocktail party at Grace Van Vorst Church on August 13th from 6PM to 8:30PM. This event will honor Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop and others for contributions to the Bayfront Project, an initiative aiming to bring affordable and sustainable housing to Jersey City. The Boys + Girls Club of Hudson County has been serving the community for decades. The organization always needs volunteers to support the development of emotional, academic, behavioral, and social skills for children in grades K-12. Computers 4 People collects, refurbishes, and donates computers to individuals and organizations in need. Volunteers skilled in tech refurbishing are always needed to help fix old devices and help with inventory and sorting incoming donations, wires, and more. Dvine Konektion | 611 56th Street, West New York
Dvine Konektion food pantry receives monthly deliveries of food and personal care items. Volunteers are needed to set up the space, arrange tables, carry heavy items, and organize the space for food distribution. Volunteers must be 16 or older and are encouraged to dress comfortably. Friends of Ferris Triangle Park | 247 Old Bergen Road, Jersey City
Friends of Ferris Triangle Park oversees several free, fun-focused events with one goal: to bring neighbors closer together and create a safe space for children and families. The organization also works hard to keep the park clean and fresh by weeding, gardening, cleaning up trash, and hosting family-friendly events. Friends of Ferris Triangle Park is always looking for volunteers to help bag + distribute groceries for its food pantry, tutor students, and help distribute baby items for North Porch. See more here.

Hudson County CASA | 442 Hoboken Avenue, Jersey City
Hudson County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) regularly seeks committed volunteers. Those involved connect with children living in the foster care system in Hudson County through monthly visits with the assigned child, their teachers, social workers, and other important people in the child’s life. Volunteers must be 21 or older and commit to their duties until the case is closed, usually taking about one year. Volunteers must complete an application and a 30-hour training course. The Hoboken Shelter provides resources for hundreds of people weekly. Volunteers are needed throughout the day to help cook and serve food to guests in the newly renovated kitchen. The Shelter accepts individual volunteers or groups, including corporate community service outings. Volunteers are needed at Let’s Celebrate to help clients shop during bi-weekly free-choice pantry hours, serve lunch, and provide translation services. Volunteers are usually asked to help guests choose items, reach products on higher shelves, plate meals, translate Arabic, and move heavy bags. Love Thy Neighbor | 106-8 Atlantic Street, Jersey City
Love Thy Neighbor hosts a monthly food and clothing distribution at the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Jersey City. Volunteers are needed early in the day to assist with station monitoring, sharing food limits with guests, and monitoring the line. Matthew Trinity Lunchtime Ministry | 8th + Hudson Streets, Hoboken
St. Matthew Trinity Lunchtime Ministry serves hot, nourishing meals to over 70 guests every Monday through Thursday. The program is made possible by donations from local food establishments and volunteers. Volunteers are needed from 8AM to 12PM to set up and serve lunch and fellowship with guests. Tasks may also include sorting donations and cleaning the lunch space. Volunteers can come for any length of time during the four hours of the program. To learn more, click here.
The Open Door NJNY | 5017 Boulevard East, West New York
The Open Door NJNY works to strengthen immigrant families by providing resources to the community. Once the required training is completed, volunteers are needed to provide educational resources to guests. Teaching needs include math, computers, and ESL. The Temple Beth-El Pantry opens its doors to individuals needing non-perishable goods weekly.
