All About Viola Vita

Mario, who has proudly owned Viola Vita for 11 years now, just celebrated the store’s anniversary this past December with a holiday party before his trip to Italy in January. The vibrant and eye-catching window displays are updated every 15 days to keep passerby’s attention – the star of the displays being the beautiful products themselves, of course.

Twice a year Mario closes the shop to visit his motherland – the ever-enchanting Firenze, Italia to oversee and buy one of a kind and incomparable high-quality leather jackets, bags, shoes, and small leather goods all made in Italy. Mario will tell you it’s important to remember that “even when shopping in Italy, you can’t be sure the leather is from and made in Italy.” He does the quality assurance for his shoppers, only selling products he truly believes in.

The Shopping Experience

violavita boots

^As if they were made for you. Hand-applied cross detailed boots are one of a kind – you’ll never see anyone else you know have the same pair!

^Enjoy a complimentary espresso while you shop.

It’s hard to know what to love more –  the leather or Mario himself. He’ll always greet guests with the warmest hello, then guide them through as they browse the racks to testify for the impeccable leather. The smell of leather and espresso brewing is intoxicating for any fashion {and caffeine} lover. Italian television is playing in the background, all set in a gorgeous backdrop of Florence.

Having just arrived back from his trip to Italy in January, the Spring/Summer 2019 is on boldly on display at Viola Vita. All of the NYFW Pantone color palettes of the season are represented in the handbags, such as turmeric oranges, corals, and lilacs, all among the gorgeous classic black and toffee brown hues that remain constant for every season. Small clutches encrusted with jewels and fun metallic pastels serve as the perfect accessory to punch up a night out look. Larger bags are essential for the workweek, while the bright colors will keep shoppers optimistic that an early spring is just around the corner.
