The Roost Outpost, with an original location in the East Village in Manhattan, has a home in downtown Hoboken, nestled on 55 1st Street. What makes this coffee shop unique, especially in the Mile Square, is that besides coffee, guests can also shop for unique clothing and home goods inside as well. The Menu
From hot and cold coffee to espresso, tea, juice, and beyond — The Roost Outpost can satisfy any caffeine (or not) craving. Some super delicious drinks include the Rose Cardamon Latte, Almond Chai Latte, Moroccan Mint Tea, and Iced Pomegranate Berry Tea, to name a few. Fans of Nitro Cold Brew are in luck, as that’s an option here, too.

As far as food goes, The Roost Outpost has got plenty of that, too. It’s an ideal spot to grab warm, homemade oatmeal or pastry en route to work or during a work-from-home (or a coffee shop) day. The shop also carries homemade doughnuts from The Law of Donutgineering, made fresh in Hoboken daily — they had us at homemade.
The Store
Right inside The Roost, there is a selection of locally made and designed clothing, bags, home goods, accessories, soaps, and more. Basically, it is a one-stop shop for all things coffee and shopping. The shop makes it super easy to support hardworking local businesses because it’s super easy to browse racks and shelves while sipping on a cup of Joe.
Location + Hours
The Roost Outpost is located at 55 1st Street in Hoboken — for those who take the PATH train to work, it’s in a great spot as it’s just a couple of blocks away (yet not smack in the middle of all the morning rush). The shop is open Monday through Friday from 7:30AM-5PM and Saturday and Sunday from 8AM-6PM. The hours work for just about everyone, which we love — whether for the early birds heading to work or those coming home late and need that caffeine fix before dinner.
