Asana Soul Practice {411 Jefferson Street, Hoboken and 124 First Street, Jersey City}

Asana Soul Practice offers three BYOBaby classes per week for six-week-old babies to early walkers, including a Saturday morning option for working parents. Taught by local mama Kaelyn Tate, the class offers a strong vinyasa flow for moms and incorporates babies in both standing and seated poses. Kaelyn made her dream of becoming a yoga teacher happen while on maternity leave after the birth of her son, so she knows how hard it can be to find time to work out with a little one. Classes also include sweet bonding exercises with your baby and a nice long savasana for hardworking mamas.


Tuesdays 12:00PM-1:00PM in Hoboken, Wednesdays 10:30AM-11:30AM in Jersey City, and Saturdays 7:45AM-8:30AM in Hoboken.


Intro rate for new clients $35 for two weeks unlimited classes at both studios, drop-in rate $25, 10 class pack $180, and monthly unlimited $99 {one studio only} or $120 per month {both studios}.

 Hudson Yoga Project {44 Hudson Place, Hoboken}

Hudson Yoga Project has a few class options for both prenatal and postnatal mommies. The studio prides itself on having prenatal certified instructors who are all moms that are “passionate about the baby journey and this time in a woman’s life. They know the ups and downs and all arounds.  They’ve been there and they want to be there for you.” No previous yoga experience is required and everything has been modified for the pregnant body.


Tuesdays + Fridays at 11:00AM, Saturdays +  Sundays at 9:30AM, and Wednesdays 6:30PM.

Hoboken Fit Squad {1200 Washington Street, Hoboken}

This workout locale has a weekly prenatal yoga class that also allows you to bring your other child {or children} along for the experience.  The fitness classes cater to moms of all fitness levels and allow a focus on fitness without having to pay for childcare. Taught by local mom, Niki Poveromo, her classes will help you build strength and flexibility with a focus on breath work to get you through the challenging aspects of the class and labor.


Mondays at 10:30AM.


Drop in rate $15, 5 class pack $7, and 10 class pack $120.

Michelle Timek Yoga {110 Morgan Street, Jersey City}

Michelle Timek Yoga offers a prenatal/postnatal class so you can attend during pregnancy and continue after you give birth. The classes will help guests strengthen their back and shoulders, help achieve ease of movement, and regain pelvic + core stability.


Sundays at 11:45AM, Mondays + Wednesdays at 6:30PM, and Thursdays at 6:00PM.


Drop in rate $24, 1 month unlimited $75 for new students, 5 classes $110, and 10 classes $205.

JC Bump + Baby {50 Regent Street, Jersey City}

This studio offers a prenatal class once a week and two postnatal yoga class options where you can bring your babies with you. They even offer a weekly new mom support group every Thursday. This is a great way to get introduced to yoga, prepare for labor, and then continue with your practice after giving birth. It definitely allows for a longer relationship with the art of yoga as well as other new mom friends that you’d meet in class. Michelle Goitia, the owner, also offers private yoga classes which might be a great way to get started in the comfort of your own home.

Sundays at 9:30AM.

Pavana Yoga {251 1st Street, Hoboken}

Pavana offers a 90-minute prenatal yoga class every Sunday taught by Autumn Perez. According to the Pavana website, her classes are a “well-rounded amalgamation of exercises and movement that are geared to invigorate the body, nourish the mind, and awaken the spirit.”


Sundays at 1:30PM.

Sattva Yoga Jersey City {523 Palisade Avenue, Jersey City}

Sattva Yoga offers prenatal, postnatal, and Itsy Bitsy Baby Yoga classes for families in the Heights and beyond. Postnatal classes offer the opportunity to bring your baby to flow while reconnecting with yourself and your body. The series focuses on strengthening the pelvic floor, core, and more. Itsy Bitsy Baby Yoga classes are an interactive program focused on stregenthening the bond between parent and child.


Postnatal Bring Your Baby Flow Tuesdays 12:00PM-1:00PM, Itsy Bitsy Baby Yoga Wednesdays 11:30AM-12:15PM, Baby and Me Flow Sundays 9:15AM-10:15AM, and Prenatal Yoga Sundays 12:30PM-1:30PM .

Surya Yoga {341 Grove Street, Jersey City}

Surya Yoga’s Jersey City location hosts prenatal yoga classes for all the mamas to be. The classes are focused on helping soon-to-be moms through the physical and hormonal changes their bodies are going through, and help prepare them for labor.  Surya does have two locations in Hoboken as well if you’d like to continue yoga at Surya post pregnancy.


Wednesdays at 6:30PM, Saturdays at 10:45AM, and Sundays at 12:00PM.

Honor Yoga {730 Monroe Street, Hoboken}

Honor Yoga offers two prenatal class options and a great new student rate. The classes are for all levels and the instructors are extremely passionate about fitness, yoga, and meditation. Jen Gigantino teaches the Sunday class and claims to have discovered the benefits of prenatal yoga and meditation in her own pregnancy. Jen is also a certified Reiki practitioner for anyone aiming to heal their energy as well.


Wednesdays at 6:00PM and Sundays at 11:00AM

Urban Souls {100 Hudson Street} 

Urban Souls is offering a variety of postnatal yoga classes for the summer. For four consecutive Fridays in July and August, Hudson Street’s newest yoga studio will be hosting an intro to postnatal yoga class, a class focused on core rebuilding, and more.


Friday, July 12th, July 19th, July 26th, and August 2nd at 9:30AM
