Pickleball is having a moment nationwide and especially here in Hoboken and Jersey City. Come fall 2025, Jersey City will welcome its first dedicated pickleball facility. PB Club Jersey City will open at 2-36 Garfield Avenue in the Bergen‑Lafayette neighborhood, complete with custom courts, on-site parking, and a variety of player-friendly amenities. Read on for what to know about the PB Club coming to Jersey City, New Jersey, this fall.
The Details
During the warmer months, Jersey City pickleball enthusiasts can take advantage of several outdoor courts in the area, including the Lincoln Park Pickleball Courts (285 Lincoln Park), Terrace Avenue Park (169 Terrace Avenue), and Pickledilly Circus (95 River Drive South, #89). But when temperatures drop, outdoor play becomes less ideal. Enter PB Club Jersey City, a soon-to-be dedicated indoor pickleball space, making pickleball a year-round sport for locals.

PB Club Jersey City announced its arrival in Chilltown via social media on June 6th, 2025, and has been periodically dropping hints about what’s to come since. (Up next: a sneak peek at the facility through detailed 3D renderings.)
The spot plans to open at 2-36 Garfield Avenue, just minutes from Liberty State Park and the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, in late October or early November. With plans to expand across Hudson County, another Secaucus location is in the works for 2026.
Along with three indoor courts with pro-level surfacing, the space will feature a quiet lounge and co-working area, cubbies, a water station, vending and grab-and-go snack options, paddle racks and stools, replay technology, private event rentals, and an on-site parking lot with Tesla charging stations. Players can also look forward to PB Club-branded merch, including branded paddles, tote bags, hats, and more.
“The entire experience is app-based,” PB Club told The Hoboken Girl, which means that members can unlock the door from their phone and play autonomously from 5AM to 1AM daily. “No front desk, no waiting around.”

“We’re going for a boutique, polished feel — not a gym, not a warehouse,” PB Club said. “Think ‘your own private court,’ right in the city.”
A list of class offerings has yet to be announced, but what we do know so far is that newcomers to the sport can look forward to beginner-friendly clinics held each week. The PB Club is also currently hiring experienced pickleball coaches to teach these clinics and additional sessions. See here for more details.
