Yet another NYC-based restaurant has made its way to Hudson County — and this time, it’s one that specializes in gourmet burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches. Kings of Kobe features dishes made with American Waygu beef products, and the menu is said to have 13 signature burgers and 6 premium hot dogs. About 6 months after we got word that Kings of Kobe would be opening in Jersey City, we now know that this spot had its soft opening this week at Newport Mall, located at 30 Mall Drive West in Jersey City. Read on to learn more about Kings of Kobe and the details surrounding this new spot.

About Kings of Kobe

The American Waygu beef used in Kings of Kobe’s dishes is what makes this modern restaurant unique. While most known for its Waygu beef burgers and hot dogs, the spot also serves other sandwiches and burgers. Each dish is also known for its array of creative toppings.

The menu features unique burgers, including the Queen’s Rule with crispy prosciutto, pepper jack, sweet chili relish, and pickled jalapeño mayo, and the Oh My Frita!, containing chorizo crisps, housemade potato sticks, sofrito sauce, aged cheddar, and a runny egg – the King’s take on a Miami staple.

Non-burger creations include the King’s Classic hot dog topped with sauerkraut, sautéed onions, and spicy dijon, and the Hot Chicken on the Ritz: Ritz-cracker-breaded chicken, chili sauce, avocado ranch, pickles, and watermelon radish all pressed between a brioche bun.

As for other burger options, there’s also the option to make your own or choose from one of the favorites. Try out the Rueben burger with gruyère cheese, dijon mustard, hot wagyu pastrami, sauerkraut, pickles, and Russian dressing. This spot has a burger for every kind of craving.
