The Details

Kings of Kobe will be taking over the former Zinburger spot at Newport Centre Mall in Jersey City. This will be the restaurant’s second location, the other one residing in the Hell’s Kitchen section of Manhattan at 650 West 42nd Street since 2017, as seen on Jersey Digs.

About Kings of Kobe

The American Waygu beef used in Kings of Kobe’s dishes is what makes this modern restaurant unique. While most known for its Waygu beef burgers and hot dogs, the spot also serves other sandwiches and burgers.

There’s The Clubhouse with avocado mash, chicken breast, and toppings on a ciabatta hero, the Go Fish burger that features Alaskan salmon, and a flat iron steak sandwich with caramelized onions, sauteed mushrooms, mozzarella, cheese, arugula, and horseradish mayo.

On the Waygu side, Kings of Kobe serves up all kinds of hot dogs, from the King’s Classic with sauerkraut, house-sauteed red onions, and spicy dijon mustard to the Golden Pineapple with sauerkraut, pineapple relish, smoked gouda, and bacon bits.

There are also unique options for those looking for something different like The Musketeer — a fried wagyu beef hot dog with fries, scrambled egg, applewood smoked bacon bits, chipotle mayo, and spicy ketchup.

As for burgers, there’s the option to make your own or choose from one of the favorites. Try out the Rueben burger with
gruyère cheese, dijon mustard, hot wagyu pastrami, sauerkraut, pickles, and Russian dressing, or something completely different like the Better Than Ceaser with burrata cheese, baby arugula, stone fruit relish, and balsamic glaze. This spot has a burger for every kind of craving.

There are no details on when the spot plans to open yet, but we will keep you updated as the details come in.
