Not the first place Hobokenites might look to for a kid-friendly time but Symposia Bookstore hosts baby yoga classes and Puppetonia puppet shows that kids love. The bookstore itself is fairly traditional with a quaint library feel, but the activities make this spot really appealing to little ones. Puppet shows are held Monday-Friday at 10:00AM and 11:00AM while baby yoga is held on Tuesdays at 1:30PM and Thursdays at 12:00PM. Tickets are available online at puppetonia.com. Keeping their audience in mind, the displays at Wee Babe are easily reachable for big brothers and sisters. Families can feel like they’re always on the go but after a stop at Flo on Wheels they really will be. This small shop carries brightly colored children’s scooters, bikes, helmets, and accessories. They also supply regular adult and hybrid bikes in addition to offering bike repairs. As an added perk, employees at Flo on Wheels will also fix a flat stroller tire so families can stay on the go. Every bike and scooter is appropriately anchored to the rack on the floor, or the holder on the wall, ensuring that little ones will stay safe while they explore their options for speed.

A Studio That Inspires, Uplifts, and Feels Like Home
Ken Pilates was founded by Hoboken-local Kennyth Montes de Oca, a dancer, Pilates instructor, and holistic well-being advocate. At the height of the pandemic, Ken began teaching Pilates classes from home. His classes helped locals rediscover the joy of movement one of the most difficult times.
“What started as a labor of love has grown into a vibrant community rooted in connection, transformation, and self-discovery,” Ken shared with The Hoboken Girl.
