Baking Mama, the beloved small-batch bakeshop located at 88 Hudson Street in Hoboken, is making its way across the Hudson County map with a new space at 333 Palisade Avenue in Jersey City. The Jersey City Expansion
As per a social media post from @jerseycityhappyhours, Baking Mama is making its way to 333 Palisade Avenue in Jersey City. The well-known Hoboken bakery has long been a go-to for cookies, cakes, cupcakes, macarons, and other baked goods, and now Jersey City residents will soon have a Baking Mama location of their own.
About Baking Mama + The Menu
Baking Mama is a family-owned, small-batch bakeshop in downtown Hoboken founded by owner + baker Tina Rivera in December 2015. Located at the corner of Hudson and Newark streets, the AAPI- and woman-owned shop has become a neighborhood staple for ready-made desserts, custom-baked goods, and dangerously convenient treats for anyone walking to or from the PATH.
Tina, a local mom whose son attended Stevens, first started baking as a way to make treats for him, and that love of baking eventually grew into a full-fledged Hoboken business. She still lives locally and is also behind Hey Coffee People, making her one of those feel-good community figures who has helped shape the Mile Square’s small business scene.
Baking Mama has had viral moments over the years, and for good reason. The menu is filled with treats like cookies, macarons, cupcakes, cakes, and other small-batch baked goods. Some Hoboken Girl favorites include the classic chocolate chip cookie, the lemon loaf, and all of the gluten-free goodies that seriously can fool a gluten eater (we’re not kidding). With a new Jersey City space on the way, Hudson County dessert lovers will have another spot to add to the must-visit list.
