You might take their classes, you might be a fan of their entertaining Instagram stories, or you might remember them as Radio City Rockettes — our Hoboken Girls of the Week are definitely familiar faces. Introducing Jacey Lambros and Danielle DeAngelo, founders of Jane DO, a Hoboken and Jersey City-based workout studio {and a #HobokenGirlFave}. We had the pleasure of interviewing these awesome ladies, and we’re sharing more about them below {+ an exclusive giveaway happening on our Instagram, so head there right after}:

About Jane DO, According to J + D:

Jane DO is female ruled total body workout focused on gaining strength, confidence and power. We offer four classes and zero experience is necessary.

On What Inspires Them

We pull our inspiration from our diverse pool of badass clients. We have super hero moms, boss babes, artists, athletes, you name it. The most inspiring part of what we DO is watching how our Jane’s use the strength they build inside the studio to DO incredible things outside of it.

Goals + Passions

Our ultimate goal is to build the strongest community of the most powerful women. We want to make fitness accessible to as many women as possible and therefore have been cranking away at our on-demand fitness experience.

A Typical Day in the Life

We always start with a workout, either by teaching or taking a class at one of our three locations. Then it takes all of our willpower to avoid Wonder Bagel (which we are successful at only 60% of the time). After a shake (Dani makes it for the both us) or a bagel, we hit one the studios for office hours. Notice you didn’t hear the word shower, seldom do we have the chance before we hit the ground running. We strive to clear our inbox at the start of the day. On Mondays, we focus on playlists, bookkeeping, and we review our class schedules and event schedules for the week. Tuesdays are content driven days where we focus on gathering new social media content and creating new in-class content. Wednesdays we host our manager meetings and Thursdays are dedicated to marketing and PR. Fridays are for merchandising and checking off any incomplete tasks. All days end with a glass (or 2, or 3) of wine and cheese.

Highlight of Their Careers {So Far}

We kicked it onstage with the Radio City Rockettes for a combined 17 years. While that was incredible, nothing compares to the feeling of building our own brand. It’s been the most challenging, yet rewarding experience of both our lives.

What a Day Off is Like

OMG, this is gonna sound so cliche, but if you follow us on Instagram, you know we have fun all day.

We spend a lot of time at Athleta because we live in lycra. In Jersey City, we love Kanibal home for candles, cards, and gifts for everyone.
