Why We Love It

The Music + Entertainment

italian festival hoboken

The Hoboken Italian Festival has great live performances — a town favorite being Freestyle Friday {happening this Friday at 6:00PM} which always brings a huge 80’s music loving crowd. Besides the music, the entertainment is well, entertaining — like the annual grape stomping contest against the Hoboken Police Department + the Hoboken Fire Department. There’s seriously nothing better {or funnier} than watching police officers and firemen frantically stomping grapes — see above and check it out Sunday at 5:30PM. The stage is located at 2nd and Sinatra Drive.

The Food

^Becuase nothing says Italian Festival like a rice ball the size of your head

Rice balls, sausage sandwiches, gyros — need we say more? The Hoboken Italian Festival has all the drool-worthy classics we wait for all year long. And of course, we can’t forget about the zeppoles for dessert — nothing in this world compares to that fluffy, greasy, and sugary goodness.

The Views

What makes the Hoboken Italian Festival unique from the others is the location — right on the Hoboken waterfront with stunning views of New York City. Not to mention, the fireworks display on Pier A is awesome and the perfect way to end a night at the feast.

The Pups Can Enjoy it, Too

Of course, the dogs are welcome to join in on the fun {though they might be v jealous of your feast eats — just look at the photo above}. Word of advice, though — definitely leave your four-legged friends home on fireworks night {Saturday at 9:00PM}. It’s fun for them to walk around and enjoy the scenes during the day, but they aren’t the biggest fans of fireworks, and we don’t blame them!
