While the St. Ann’s Italian Festival in Hoboken and La Festa Italiana in Jersey City have already come and gone, we have one more Italian festival to add to your list before summer is officially over. The Hoboken Italian Festival, which takes place on the waterfront on Sinatra Drive Promenade in Hoboken, will return for 2024 from Thursday, September 5th to Sunday, September 8th. Also known as the Feast of the Madonna Dei Martiri, the festival will be complete with delicious eats, entertainment, and more, as well as fireworks and a procession. Read on to learn more about this year’s Hoboken Italian Festival, which kicks off this Thursday.
Festival Details
The 2024 Hoboken Italian Festival will include a variety of music, food, games, and more, plus, a fireworks show over Sinatra Park. The four-day festival will take place along the Hudson River on Sinatra Drive Promenade between Newark Street and 2nd Street from Thursday, September 5th to Sunday, September 8th, 2024.

Saturday, September 7th will be the procession and “Feast Day,” when the 800lb statue of the Madonna Dei Martiri, or, Madonna of the Martyrs, is carried through the streets of Hoboken. Here is the procession route:

Feast Day mass starts on Saturday at 11AM + the parade begins at 2PM from St. Francis Church. At 4PM, the parade continues onto the Hudson River. The procession includes a reenactment of the Blessing of the Fleet in the Hudson River, ending with a fireworks show over Sinatra Park at 9:15PM. The Madonna is sailed around the Hudson before it returns to the church.
Entertainment + Activities Schedule
Along with the lineup of vendors, there will also be live music each night of the festival as well as various activities. The festival will kick off with DJ sets from 5PM-11PM on Thursday, September 5th. On Friday, September 6th, DJs + live bands will perform from 5PM-12AM.
The festival’s biggest party is held on Saturday night with live music + the annual fireworks display. The festival concludes on Sunday, September 8th with the Italian Car Show + DJ sets.
