With summer in Hudson County comes several Italian festivals — from The St. Ann’s Feast to the Hoboken Italian Festival. Over in Jersey City, locals look forward to La Festa Italiana each year. The five-day festival, taking place from Wednesday, August 13th through Sunday, August 17th, is complete with Italian fare, drinks, family-friendly activities, and live music. 2025 Festival Details + About La Festa Italiana
Hosted by Holy Rosary Church, La Festa Italiana is returning to Jersey City for 2025. The festival will take place from Wednesday, August 13th through Sunday, August 17th, and is a celebration that honors Italian heritage, food, and faith. Holy Rosary Church happened to be the very first Italian Church founded in the state of New Jersey. La Festa Italiana celebrates that sense of community and welcomes guests from far and wide to experience Italian culture up close.

La Festa Italiana runs from 5PM to 11PM Wednesday through Friday, and from 2PM-11PM on Friday + Saturday. It will be held in the area that surrounds Holy Rosary Church at 6th and Brunswick Streets in Jersey City. On the last day, guests are welcome to join in for the Feast Day Mass followed by a street procession and live band performance from Soul Machine (formerly Total Soul).
On each of the five days of La Festa Italiana, festival-goers can enjoy a variety of Italian food made by local restaurants, brews from local pubs, kid-friendly activities, and live entertainment, among other things.

The live music performances will occur each night at various times. The lineup is as follows:
- Wednesday, August 13th from 5PM-11PM: The Toga Party Band
- Thursday, August 14th from 5PM-11PM: The Counterfeiters
- Friday, August 15th from 5PM-11PM: Promised Land — Jersey Shore Tribute Band
- Saturday, August 16th from 2PM-11PM: The Cameos
- Sunday, August 17th from 2PM-11PM: Soul Machine
Among La Festa’s food lineup is zeppoles — an Italian favorite — which are handmade by the parishioners. The full food lineup has yet to be announced, but locals can likely expect homemade rice balls topped with tomato gravy, pizza, sausage + peppers, fresh mozz, Italian ice + other frozen treats, cannolis, and more.
