Celeb sightings are aplenty in our Hoboken + Jersey City area — with our close proximity to NYC, and so many movies filming in New Jersey as of late. Even so, it’s always fun to catch a celeb sighting; this time, it’s Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria. She was in the area to promote her tequila brand, Casa del Sol. Here’s more about Eva’s quick trip to Hoboken and Jersey City.

Desperate Housewives fanatics know that there was no one like Gabrielle Solis on the hit ABC show, and Eva has continued to grow her fanbase in recent years. Her recent visit to the area was to promote her newest venture as a co-founder of the tequila brand, Casa del Sol.

On Thursday, August 25th, Eva was spotted at both the Ainsworth in Hoboken and Battello in Jersey City, promoting her new brand.

“It is always my mission to uplift the voices of women and celebrate my Mexican heritage, so that others may be inspired by the limitless genius and artistry that is rich in our communities,” Eva shared on Casa del Sol’s website.

“Our distillery is 100% Mexican family-owned and operated. Eva is one of the co-founders, and our master distiller and VP of operations in Mexico are both females,” a rep shared with The Hoboken Girl.

On the brand’s website, Casa Del Sol is a luxury sipping tequila, inspired by “the magic of golden hour and the legend of the Aztec goddess of agave, Mayahuel.”

It’s already gotten nods from both Food and Wine and Travel and Leisureas it is aged in French Oak Cognac Barrels in Mexico, staying true to the drink’s roots and heritage.

The tequila is currently available for purchase locally at Buy & Savings Liquors, Buy Rite, and at the bar at Battello in Jersey City. In Hoboken, Olivia’s, the Ainsworth, and Giannone’s all carry it.

This isn’t a celebrity’s first time gracing the area with their presence to promote their drink brands. In the Bravo universe, Carl Radke and Kyle Cooke from Summer House were spotted in Hoboken sharing all about their brand Loverboy, and more recently, Breaking Bad stars Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston were spotted in Jersey City promoting their new mezcal brand, Dos Hombres.
